AMP says it arranges scheduled, non-emergency rides for passengers, healthcare facilities and case managers. Its listed trip types include:
- Ambulatory and wheelchair transportation

- Dialysis and oncology or chemotherapy visits

AMP describes wheelchair transportation as a scheduled, non-emergency service. It explicitly says it is not an emergency ambulance provider. For a medical emergency, call 911 rather than arranging an NEMT ride. Confirm that the vehicle and assistance available meet the passenger’s needs when contacting dispatch. How does AMP describe working with healthcare facilities?
AMP says it coordinates with hospitals and healthcare systems, dialysis and treatment centers, rehabilitation and therapy facilities, residential care facilities, case managers, social workers, brokers and community partners. - Whether the pickup and destination are within the provider’s territory and the trip is available at the required time
- Whether the provider can accommodate ambulatory or wheelchair needs
- How it handles recurring appointments and schedule changes
- What assistance is included, and what the passenger should arrange separately
- How dispatch communicates updates or delays
- Whether a broker, authorization or other program requirement applies
AMP’s website describes its own offerings but does not provide an independent comparison with other NEMT providers. Its homepage calls its service “A focused NEMT experience combining accessibility, direct communication, and dependable local coverage.” That is AMP’s positioning, not a measured service-performance result.
