The claim that SIP inflows reached ₹32,490 crore in September 2026 is not verified by the official AMFI data available as of October 12, 2026. AMFI’s latest listed monthly figure is ₹32,297 crore for August 2026, up from ₹31,961 crore in July.

What AMFI’s latest figures show

AMFI’s contribution series reports the following recent monthly SIP contributions:

Month SIP contributions
July 2026 ₹31,961 crore
August 2026 ₹32,297 crore
September 2026 ₹32,490 crore: not verified in the official AMFI pages reviewed

August’s reported contributions were ₹336 crore higher than July’s. AMFI’s monthly data listing showed August 2026 as the latest release for FY 2026–27 in the material available as of October 12, 2026. The September figure in the headline should not be presented as an established AMFI statistic without a subsequent official release.

What SIP contributions measure

AMFI describes a systematic investment plan (SIP) as a method of investing a fixed amount in a mutual-fund scheme at set intervals—such as monthly—instead of investing a lump sum. SIP is a contribution method, not a fund or a promised return.

The figures above refer to contributions collected during each month. They are not the value of all assets held through SIPs, nor do they show how those investments performed. AMFI describes regular investing and rupee-cost averaging as features of SIPs; neither guarantees a profit or prevents losses.

AMFI’s contribution series is the primary source for the monthly amounts. Cafemutual also reported the August figure of ₹32,297 crore on September 11, 2026, as secondary corroboration: Cafemutual’s August 2026 report.
