The Academy’s 2017 ceremony record lists these winners:

The Academy’s official 2017 ceremony record confirms the category winners. The tally was split between two films: two wins for Manchester by the Sea and one for The Salesman.
What did Jimmy Kimmel say about Jeff Bezos?
In its contemporaneous account of the ceremony, GeekWire reported that Kimmel congratulated Bezos, then joked: “Jeff Bezos is the founder and CEO, and I want to say, congratulations to Jeff,” followed by, “And I also want you to know Jeff, if you win tonight, you can expect your Oscar to arrive in 2 to 5 business days, possibly stolen by a GrubHub delivery man.” These remarks are reported by GeekWire, not verified here against an official broadcast transcript.

Kimmel also made a separate joke about Amazon’s search recommendations. GeekWire reported that he introduced Manchester by the Sea by saying, “Amazon produced ‘Manchester by the Sea,’ that was a fun movie, wasn’t it?” and then joked about what Amazon might recommend to people who searched for it. The delivery joke and the search-recommendation joke were distinct moments, both tying Amazon’s awards-night presence to its familiar services.
Was Amazon the first streaming service to win an Oscar?
Amazon’s March 7, 2018 company statement described the wins for Manchester by the Sea and The Salesman as the first Oscars won by a streaming service. That phrasing is Amazon’s historical claim; the Academy’s awards archive confirms the winners and categories, but does not establish the “first streaming service” distinction.

What did Amazon say about watching the films?
In the same 2018 statement, Amazon described both films as available for unlimited streaming with Prime membership and said the titles were also available to rent or own digitally. That is a record of what Amazon said at that time, not confirmation that either film is available now, in every territory, or under current membership terms. Check the local Prime Video listing for present availability.
