Amazon Canada’s July 8 Prime Day sale was the 2025 event, which ran July 8–11 and has ended. Amazon said early offers began June 17, 2025; none of those dates or promotions should be treated as current. Amazon’s official Canada page lists the 2026 event as June 23–26, which has also passed. Amazon’s Canada Prime Day page and its dated announcements provide the event details.
When did Amazon Canada Prime Day start in 2025?
Amazon Canada announced a four-day Prime Day running from July 8 through July 11, 2025, beginning at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time. MobileSyrup reported the equivalent start as 3 a.m. Eastern Time. The dates were specific to the 2025 event, not a recurring annual schedule. Amazon Canada’s July announcement and MobileSyrup’s Canadian preview confirm the timing.
Were early deals available before the sale?
Yes. In a June 16, 2025 announcement, Amazon Canada said some early offers would begin June 17, including offers on Amazon devices and products from Canadian businesses. Early offers did not necessarily share the same eligibility rules as Prime-exclusive event deals, so the announcement does not establish that every early offer was available to everyone. The early offers are historical, not current promotions. Amazon Canada’s June 16 announcement.
What kinds of deals did Amazon advertise?
Amazon described a broad selection spanning electronics and Amazon devices, beauty and wellness, books, household goods, kitchen appliances, luggage, summer activities, and everyday essentials. Its Canada preview named brands including Samsung, adidas, Levi’s, L’Oréal, Clinique and LEGO, as well as Canadian businesses such as grace & stella, Organika, Jamieson and Kidamento. It also highlighted eero 6+ mesh Wi-Fi systems, Echo devices, Fire tablets and Fire TV devices. These were examples from Amazon’s announcement, not an independently audited list of sale inventory or recommendations.

Advertised discounts were ceilings, not typical savings
Amazon’s 2025 announcements promoted “up to” discounts on selected products. Those figures were company claims, not independently verified savings, and do not mean every item from a named brand received the maximum reduction.

What should shoppers check before calling an offer a deal?
A discount percentage alone cannot show whether an item is a good purchase. For any future sale, compare the exact model and its price history, confirm the offer dates and Prime eligibility, and judge whether the product fits the task you need it to perform. Amazon’s 2026 page suggested using Lists to identify items that go on deal, Buy Again for frequently purchased items, and app deal alerts; these are tracking tools, not a guarantee of the lowest price. Amazon Canada Prime Day page.
Did Amazon offer Aeroplan points?
For the July 8–11, 2025 event, Amazon announced an offer of up to 10x Aeroplan points through the Aeroplan eStore, subject to the promotion’s terms. This was a time-limited event offer; the announcement does not establish that it recurs for later sales. Amazon Canada’s June announcement.

What does Amazon say about the event’s results?
Amazon Ads’ retrospective says the 2025 event had more items sold than any previous Prime Day and that members saved billions across more than 35 categories. Those are Amazon’s corporate performance claims, not independently measured Canadian savings. The retrospective also quotes Olivia Garden co-owner Anne Maza describing Prime Day 2025 as her store’s most successful Amazon shopping event since it launched in 2019; that testimonial is an individual seller’s account, not a measure of typical merchant or shopper results. Amazon Ads’ retrospective and 2026 announcement.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Has the July 8 sale been replaced by a current Prime Day?
Prime Day dates change by year. Amazon’s official Canada page lists the 2026 event as June 23–26; those dates have passed as of October 8, 2026. Neither the 2025 July offers nor the 2026 event should be presented as live now. Amazon’s page may describe seasonal deal-tracking features, but it does not establish that a particular offer remains available today. Amazon Canada’s Prime Day page; Amazon Ads’ 2026 announcement.
