Forgot an item after placing an Amazon order? Prime members in the U.S., Canada and U.K. can look for Add to Delivery, a feature that lets them add an eligible item to an upcoming delivery instead of checking out separately. It is not available for every item or delivery, so the key is whether the option appears on the item page.
What Amazon’s Add to Delivery feature does
Add to Delivery lets a Prime member add an eligible product to an upcoming delivery after placing an order. Amazon says there is no added shipping fee for the feature in its U.S. and Canadian announcements. It can help when you remember a forgotten item after checkout, but it is not a guarantee that any item can be combined with any order.

Amazon reported that U.S. customers had used Add to Delivery more than 50 million times as of its June 4, 2026 update. That figure is Amazon’s own reported usage, not an independent measurement. Amazon’s delivery overview
How to add an item to an upcoming delivery
- Open the Amazon Shopping app or mobile website. Amazon’s instructions identify the app or Amazon.com on a mobile device in the U.S.; the U.K. instructions name the app or Amazon.co.uk on mobile.
- Open the product detail page for the item you forgot. Check for the blue Add to Delivery button. Amazon says it appears only for eligible items.
- Tap Add to Delivery and follow the confirmation prompt. The U.K. instructions specifically describe confirming the order after tapping the button.
- Check the result and delivery details. If the option is absent, that item or delivery may not qualify. Amazon’s U.S. announcement says the feature may appear when a delivery is due later that day or the next day, but it does not establish that timing as a rule for every region or order.

Who can use it and where it is available
Amazon’s official announcements establish availability for Prime members in three countries: the U.S. announcement was published October 2, 2025; Amazon Canada announced the feature July 13, 2026; and Amazon U.K. announced it September 21, 2026. Those announcements do not establish availability in other countries.

Why the button may not appear
Add to Delivery is conditional rather than a sitewide checkout option. Amazon says the button is shown for eligible items, and its U.S. guidance notes that it may appear when an existing delivery is due later that day or tomorrow. The announcements do not provide a complete list of eligible products or every delivery condition.
