PhoneArena reported on August 29, 2024, that the unlocked Galaxy A35 5G had fallen by $100 to about $300, matching its best price since Prime Day; the promotion was later marked expired. The report does not establish an Amazon price for August 2026, so check the exact listing and checkout total before buying.
What was the Amazon deal?
PhoneArena’s August 29, 2024 report described a roughly $100 cut from the Galaxy A35 5G’s approximately $400 price to about $300—a 25% discount. It said the offer was not limited to Prime members and that both color options were discounted at the time. PhoneArena later marked the promotion expired, so those terms do not describe current stock or pricing. PhoneArena’s deal report
“Best price since Prime Day” is a narrower claim than “lowest price ever.” It reflects PhoneArena’s historical comparison, not an independently documented all-time price record. The report does not establish that every A35 configuration or seller had the same price.
Which Galaxy A35 configuration did the price refer to?
Samsung launched the U.S. unlocked A35 at $399.99 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage model, in Awesome Navy and Awesome Lilac. That launch information gives useful context for the reported $100 reduction, but a listing titled “Galaxy A35 5G” alone does not prove that it is the same U.S. model. What to verify before buying an Amazon listing
Because the original promotion has expired and product pages can change, compare the final offer with the same model, condition and capacity—not just the headline price.

What the A35 offered at about $300
For its 2024 deal price, the A35 paired Samsung’s software experience with a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display offering a 60–120Hz refresh-rate range, an Exynos 1380 processor and a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and autofocus. It supports 25W wired charging. Samsung’s global announcement covers its camera and regional configurations; the Amazon deal report identifies the processor and charging rate. Samsung’s global A35 announcement · PhoneArena’s deal report
The combination was compelling for a mid-range phone in 2024: a high-refresh AMOLED screen, OIS on the main camera, 5G and Samsung’s familiar interface. microSD expansion is available on applicable market versions, but buyers should verify it for the exact model. These are reasons the phone appealed at a steep discount then, not proof that it outperforms newer phones today.

Why its age changes the value calculation
The A35 uses an older Exynos 1380 platform, and PhoneArena noted generally smooth operation alongside occasional performance hiccups. Its 25W charging is modest, and it has no telephoto camera. By 2026, newer phones may offer faster charging, newer processors or a longer remaining software-support period; this evidence does not establish a precise support end date for a particular A35 unit.
Samsung’s March 2025 U.S. MSRP file marked the A35 end-of-life (EOL) and listed the Galaxy A36 as its successor, with a $399.99 list price for the unlocked model. Samsung announced the A37 5G in 2026, but that announcement alone does not establish its current price. Samsung’s March 2025 U.S. MSRP file · Samsung’s 2026 A37 and A57 announcement

Should you buy a Galaxy A35 in 2026?
| Your situation | Practical call |
|---|---|
| New, U.S.-unlocked A35 from a reputable seller at about $250 or less | Potentially worthwhile if Samsung’s interface, AMOLED screen, OIS and microSD support on that model matter more to you than newer hardware. |
| Price near $300 | Compare with newer Galaxy A-series phones and current alternatives before deciding; the old Prime Day comparison does not establish today’s best value. |
| Price near or above $400 | Skip the A35 at that price and consider a newer generation instead. |
| Renewed, imported or third-party listing | Proceed only after checking condition, model number, carrier compatibility, warranty, seller and return policy. |
| You prioritize gaming, fast charging or a longer remaining support period | Look beyond the A35 and compare current models that explicitly meet those needs. |
How the historical claim should be read
The supported claim is that PhoneArena reported an approximately $300 price on August 29, 2024 and framed it as the best price since Prime Day; the same report was later marked expired. It does not substantiate a current Amazon deal, an all-time low, or a price for every regional variant. Samsung’s original $399.99 U.S. launch price and later EOL designation help explain why a 2024 discount should not be used as a 2026 buying recommendation by itself.
