When did Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025 start and end?
Amazon announced September 23, 2025, as the main sale start date. Prime members could shop from September 22, a 24-hour head start over other customers. Amazon’s Prime announcement also said early deals began September 13, ahead of the main event. Its later event page reported an end date of October 20, 2025. Amazon’s event page contains the later end-date information; its Prime announcement set out the early-access timing.

For this event, Amazon advertised a 24-hour early-access window for Prime members and up to 10% off on top of existing festive deals across several categories. It also promoted free same-day or next-day delivery on eligible products, Prime-only “Prime Dhamaka Offers,” and Prime entertainment benefits. These were claims about Amazon’s 2025 promotion; eligibility and terms depended on the applicable offer and product, and they do not establish current Prime terms.

Amazon’s Director and Head of Amazon Prime India, Abhinav Agarwal, described the event as offering “early access, exclusive Prime Festive Offers, and unmatched delivery speeds.” That is Amazon’s characterization of the promotion, rather than a guarantee that every item qualified for faster delivery or an extra discount.
What products and discounts did Amazon promote?
Amazon presented the festival as a broad shopping event spanning smartphones, consumer electronics, appliances, fashion, home and kitchen, beauty, everyday essentials, and other categories. Its electronics coverage named phones and accessories, laptops, tablets, headphones, and audio devices, including the Apple iPhone 15, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G, and OnePlus 13R. Other promoted examples included TVs, home appliances, Echo, Fire TV, and Kindle devices. Amazon’s pages list two different historical iPhone 15 prices: ₹43,749 in the Prime announcement and ₹45,249, including an instant bank discount, in the electronics article. The pages do not explain the discrepancy, so neither figure should be treated as a single definitive sale price. Both are dated promotional figures, subject to the offer conditions on the relevant page.

Amazon promoted bank-card discounts, no-cost EMI, cashback, GST-savings badges, and faster delivery. Those descriptions do not mean each product qualified for every benefit: the payable amount and eligibility depended on the product, payment method, seller, and offer terms.

Amazon’s “Great Savings Celebration” storefront connected its GST messaging to tax changes taking effect September 22, 2025. The company said sellers retained control of product prices and described helping sellers update applicable tax rates and product tax codes. A GST-related badge therefore did not establish that every item’s price fell by the same amount, or that a particular reduction came from a tax change. Check the product listing and offer terms before attributing a price change to GST. Amazon’s GST storefront announcement describes that program.
For any sale offer, compare the final payable price after only the discounts for which you qualify. Check the product configuration and seller, whether a coupon or bank offer applies, any exchange or EMI conditions, and delivery and return terms. A displayed maximum discount or headline price is not necessarily the price available to every buyer.

What did Amazon report about the sale?
Amazon said the festival received more than 380 million customer visits during its opening period, with over 70% of visits coming from outside India’s top nine metros. It also reported participation by more than 17 lakh sellers and said 45 new delivery stations were involved. These are company-reported figures, not independently verified measurements in the cited reports. Amazon’s Vice President, Saurabh Srivastava, said, “The first 48 hours have been our biggest ever.” Amazon’s report on the first 48 hours gives the visit figures; its event report includes seller and delivery-station figures.
