No. As of October 1, 2025, Amazon no longer lets a Prime member share Prime delivery benefits with someone who lives at a different address through the Prime Invitee program. A Prime member can still order an eligible item and ship it to another address, but that does not give the recipient Prime benefits on their own account.
What changed on October 1, 2025?
Amazon says Prime benefit sharing through its Prime Invitee program ended on October 1, 2025. That program had allowed a Prime member to share the delivery benefit with invitees who did not live in the member’s household. Amazon says people who shared benefits through Invitee may instead be able to share certain benefits through Amazon Family. Amazon’s help page
Can someone at another address still use your Prime shipping?
Not through the discontinued Invitee arrangement. If the other person wants Prime benefits on their own account, they will need to check whether an individual membership is worthwhile or shop without Prime. Membership prices and current offers vary and are not established here, so check the Amazon marketplace you use for current terms.
This is separate from sending a gift. A Prime member can place an order for an eligible item and enter another delivery address, subject to the item’s usual eligibility and delivery conditions. The recipient gets the package; they do not receive Prime delivery benefits on their own account.

What can people in the same household share?
Amazon Family is the household alternative. Amazon’s current help information says a Prime member can share eligible benefits and digital content with one other adult in the household and eligible children or teens. Teen eligibility depends on cohort and availability: Amazon’s stated conditions cover teens added before April 7, 2025, or after January 1, 2026, where available. Check the current Amazon Family page for marketplace-specific eligibility and the benefits that can be shared. Amazon Family help
Amazon defines the primary residential address as “the address you consider to be your home and where you spend the majority of your time.” A relative or friend who receives a gift at a different address does not become part of the household-sharing arrangement merely because a Prime member ships something there. Which Prime benefits are not included?
Amazon Family does not share Prime Video Ad Free. Amazon says that feature requires its own subscription. Check the current benefit list rather than assuming every Prime feature transfers to the other household adult. Amazon Prime Video Ad Free help

- Confirm the living arrangement. If you share the member’s primary home, check Amazon Family eligibility; if you live elsewhere, the old Invitee shipping-sharing route has ended.
- Identify the benefit you need. Decide whether you need Prime delivery on your own account or another specific benefit, then check whether Amazon Family shares that benefit in your marketplace.
- Compare the current options. For a separate household, compare the current cost and terms of an individual Prime membership with ordering without Prime. For a gift, the member can place the order and ship it directly to you if the item qualifies.
Amazon’s one-year membership offer reported for affected invitees in 2025 was a limited-time promotion that ended December 31, 2025; it is not a current offer. Associated Press coverage
