Amazon’s paid 1-hour and 3-hour delivery options are available for selected items in select U.S. locations. Amazon lists fees of $9.99 and $4.99, respectively, for Prime members, and $19.99 and $14.99 for nonmembers. Your address and the item both have to qualify, so check the delivery options and final fee in the Amazon app or at Amazon’s Get It Fast page before ordering.
How much do Amazon’s faster delivery options cost?
Amazon’s published fees distinguish between Prime members and nonmembers. The prices below are those announced by Amazon; they may change, and the price shown for your eligible order at checkout is the one to confirm.

The faster windows are paid options, not a replacement for qualifying free Same-Day Delivery for Prime members. If a standard same-day arrival works for you, compare that option before paying extra for a shorter window. Amazon announced the fees, and the Associated Press reported the same prices at launch (Amazon; Associated Press).
Where is 1-hour or 3-hour delivery available?
Amazon reported 1-hour service in hundreds of U.S. cities and towns and 3-hour service in more than 2,000. Examples it named for 1-hour delivery included parts of Los Angeles, Chicago, Oklahoma City, Nashville, Houston and Washington, D.C., along with Des Moines, Boise and American Fork. Those are company-reported coverage figures and examples, not a promise that every address in a listed place is served. Amazon’s September 2026 release also described the options as available in select cities and towns.

Coverage depends on the delivery address, and eligible products can differ even at the same address. Use the delivery estimates shown for your location rather than assuming a whole city—or a nearby suburb—has the service. Amazon directs shoppers to its Get It Fast page and shopping app to check local availability.
What can you order?
Amazon says its faster-delivery selection includes more than 90,000 items through its Same-Day Delivery network. Categories it lists include pantry goods, cleaning supplies, paper products and other household essentials, health and beauty products, over-the-counter medicines, electronics, toys, clothing and accessories, and home and garden items. A category being included does not mean every product in it is eligible.

Look for delivery-time messaging on eligible product listings. In supported areas, Amazon says shoppers can also use “in 1 hour” and “in 3 hours” filters or browse a dedicated storefront. Check both the listing’s delivery estimate and the fee at checkout; eligibility is specific to the item and address. The Associated Press also described broad product categories and launch coverage in its launch report.
How to check your address, item and fee
- Enter or confirm your delivery address in the Amazon app or on Amazon’s Get It Fast page.
- Search for the item you want, or use the “in 1 hour” or “in 3 hours” filter if it appears for your location.
- Read the delivery-time message on the product listing. If the faster option is not shown, that item or address may not qualify for it.
- At checkout, compare the faster option’s fee with standard Same-Day Delivery and confirm the displayed arrival window and total before placing the order.
How these options differ from Amazon Now and other delivery services
Amazon’s delivery speeds are separate services, with different item selections, availability and fees. Amazon says its 1-hour and 3-hour options use the Same-Day Delivery network; standard Same-Day Delivery is another option. Amazon Now is a separate service that offers thousands of fresh groceries, household essentials and locally relevant items in about 30 minutes or less in select locations. Amazon’s May 2026 announcement listed Amazon Now fees of $3.99 per order for Prime members and $13.99 for nonmembers, plus a small-order fee for orders below $15. Those charges apply to Amazon Now, not the 1-hour or 3-hour options. Prime Air, Amazon’s drone-delivery service, is also distinct and available only in select locations.
