AlterPoint had launched a channel program and was recruiting solution providers, according to a CRN report. In August 2006, the company announced reseller agreements with four firms to expand distribution of its DeviceAuthority software. The available reports do not establish the program’s full terms or whether it remains active today.

What AlterPoint’s partner program was

The program was a channel effort to recruit solution providers to sell AlterPoint’s DeviceAuthority network configuration management software. CRN reported that the program had launched four months before its article appeared, but the retrieved page does not show its publication date. An exact launch date therefore cannot be confirmed. Which resellers AlterPoint named

In an announcement dated August 21, 2006, AlterPoint identified four new resellers: Tabula Rosa Systems, WadeWare, GLOCOMP Systems, and Network Media. The announcement said the agreements would extend the company’s reach in North America and Asia, with the resellers adding DeviceAuthority to their software portfolios. What the partners were distributing

DeviceAuthority was described as a suite with three components. The historical CRN report associated them with these functions:

  • Audit Module: configuration auditing.
  • Update Module: implementing device configuration changes.
  • Server: a secure, centralized repository and user control.

The report listed historical prices of $19,950 for a suite covering 100 devices, $5,000 for the Audit Module covering 50 devices, and $7,500 for the Update Module covering 50 devices. These are prices reported at the time, not current quotes or evidence of present-day availability. CRN’s report

A separate partnership announced in 2006

On May 31, 2006, AlterPoint and Skybox Security announced an integration of DeviceAuthority with Skybox View. This provides context for AlterPoint’s partnership activity, but it does not establish the reseller program’s benefits or indicate that either product is currently available. Is the partner program still available?

The historical reports establish past channel recruitment and reseller agreements; they do not confirm whether AlterPoint, DeviceAuthority, or a partner program operates today. They also do not provide formal program rules, partner eligibility, incentives, training, or an application route. Current availability remains unverified.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
