The August 22 application deadline in the headline was for Allahabad High Court’s 2024–25 Research Associate recruitment; it is not a current opening. A separate 2026 recruitment cycle also had deadlines that have passed. Check the High Court’s official recruitment page for any later notice.

What the August 22 deadline referred to

Scroll reported on August 13, 2024, that applications for the Allahabad High Court Research Associate posts could be submitted through August 22, 2024. The report said the recruitment aimed to fill 31 vacancies, with screening and interviews scheduled for September 28, 2024. Those dates belong to the 2024–25 cycle and have passed.

The High Court’s official 2024 recruitment notification is the primary source for the original terms. The summary below reflects the details reported at the time; the notification controls if any detail differs.

Reported eligibility and fee for the 2024 cycle

  • Age: 21 to 26 years as of July 1, 2024, according to Scroll’s 2024 report.
  • Education: A three-year professional law degree or five-year integrated law degree obtained in academic session 2023–24 from a law college or university recognised by the Bar Council of India, as summarized in the report.
  • Application fee: Rs 300, as reported for that cycle.

These are historical reported criteria, not eligibility rules for a later recruitment. Refer to the original notification for full requirements, exceptions, and instructions.

How the 2024 application was described

The 2024 report described an online process through the High Court’s recruitment section: register, complete and submit the application, pay the fee, and save or print a copy. Since registration has closed, these steps cannot be used to apply to that cycle.

Later cycle: the 2026 dates have also passed

The High Court’s separate 2026 Research Associates portal listed an application deadline of June 20, 2026, a deadline of June 23, 2026 for payment details, and screening/interview on August 16, 2026. As of October 8, 2026, all of those dates have passed. The 2026 cycle is distinct from the 2024 notice; its terms should not be applied retroactively to the earlier recruitment.

For a future opening, use the High Court’s official recruitment page and rely on the notice for that specific cycle. Do not treat an old deadline or eligibility summary as evidence that applications are currently open.
