Which apple juice products were recalled?
The August 26, 2024 expansion of a Refresco Beverages US Inc. recall covered selected products sold through ALDI and Walmart. The identifiers differ by product, so check all the listed details rather than relying on the retailer or brand name alone.

ALDI’s product notice lists its affected states and the two March 2025 best-by/lot markings. The August 26 recall summary gives a narrower distribution list for that product: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wisconsin. These are different notice scopes; for ALDI’s stated affected states, see ALDI’s recall notice and treat the locations as select stores.
The Walmart entry and the later expansion also report different case counts. The original Walmart entry reports 9,535 cases of the 8-ounce six-pack; the August 26 expansion reports 133,500 cases for its broader expansion scope. What should you do if you have a matching bottle?
- Compare the package. Check the brand, bottle size, UPC and date or lot marking against the table. A brand match by itself does not establish that the bottle is part of the recall.
- Do not drink it if it matches. The recall notice says to discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
- Contact Walmart if needed. The Walmart notice lists customer care at (888) 260-3776.
- Ask a health professional about exposure concerns. The recall notice identifies products and handling steps; it does not diagnose exposure or predict an individual health outcome. If you are concerned about a possible exposure or symptoms, contact an appropriate health professional.
What does the arsenic result mean?
Consumer Reports said FDA recall information showed 13.2 parts per billion (ppb) of inorganic arsenic in the Walmart juice. Consumer Reports compared that result with the FDA’s 10 ppb action level for inorganic arsenic in apple juice, described in FDA guidance from 2023. The primary recall notice cited here did not independently provide the test result, so the 13.2 ppb figure should be attributed to Consumer Reports’ account rather than presented as an independently verified finding. An action level is not a universal guarantee that any juice below that number is risk-free. It is also not a way to determine an individual’s exposure or health risk from a particular bottle.

Is the recall still active?
This was a 2024 recall, and the listed best-by dates have passed. The notices cited here do not establish whether FDA formally terminated the recall, so its current formal status should not be described as active or terminated on that basis.
