The airline said passengers could pre-order the new items for flights beginning September 2 through the Alaska Hawaiian app. Because some dishes depend on route and direction, check the menu for your specific itinerary before you fly.
What food is new on Alaska Airlines?
In an announcement published August 31, 2026, Alaska Airlines described the update as a domestic Main Cabin menu refresh. The airline named Seattle-area brands Ellenos and Evergreens among the additions. The listed choices vary by flight; the announcement does not mean every item is available on every route. Breakfast and breakfast sandwiches
- Ellenos Marionberry yogurt breakfast plate: served with blueberry tea loaf and fresh fruit.
- Pretzel bun chicken sausage sandwich: made with egg and Havarti; listed for eastbound domestic flights and westbound flights to Hawaiʻi.
- Turkey bacon and Tillamook cheddar sandwich: served on brioche; listed for westbound domestic flights and eastbound flights to Hawaiʻi.
Alaska said two warm breakfast items would debut on most of its flights longer than 1,100 miles. That threshold describes the airline’s stated service plan, not a guarantee that a particular breakfast will be stocked on a particular flight.
Lunch and other meal choices
- Evergreens spicy kale Caesar salad: romaine, kale, chicken, tomatoes, jalapeños, aged parmesan, Caesar dressing, sunflower seeds and lemon.
- Plant-based warm tamari tofu bowl: described by Alaska as made without gluten ingredients.
- Green curry with chicken: listed for westbound and eastbound flights from Hawaiʻi.
- Chicken salad croissant sandwich: served with apple slices and grapes.
Alaska said at least one hot meal option is offered on flights over 1,100 miles. The announcement does not provide nutrition information, allergen-safety guarantees or prices for the listed dishes. “Made without gluten ingredients” is the airline’s description of the tofu bowl; it is not a statement that the meal is safe for every person with celiac disease or a gluten allergy.

How to pre-order food on Alaska Airlines
- Open the Alaska Hawaiian app and select your itinerary to view the menu for your flight.
- Choose from the options shown for that specific flight and submit your pre-order. Alaska says ordering opens up to 14 days before departure.
- Place the order by roughly 20 hours before takeoff. The airline describes this as an approximate cutoff, so check the app for the deadline attached to your itinerary.
The new items were announced as available to pre-order for flights beginning September 2, 2026. The announcement does not establish that the menu or individual dishes will remain available indefinitely.
Can you get the new menu on your flight?
Not necessarily. Alaska says meal offerings depend on availability and may vary with flight distance, departure point or arrival destination. The airline’s current food guidance discusses international travel, so its international cabin policies should not be treated as rules for this domestic Main Cabin update. For domestic passengers, the September announcement and the itinerary-specific menu in the Alaska Hawaiian app are the applicable checks. (Alaska Airlines food guidance)

Route direction matters for the sandwiches and curry in particular: the chicken sausage and turkey bacon sandwiches have different eastbound and westbound eligibility, while the green curry is listed on flights to or from Hawaiʻi in both directions. Confirm the actual options shown for your flight rather than assuming the same menu applies to every flight within a region.

Alaska’s February 2026 spring menu announcement included Beecher’s Mac & Cheese on medium- to long-haul North American flights, as well as an Evergreens Mediterranean-inspired plant-forward bowl and an antipasto platter. That release said the spring menu began onboard February 25 and described the same general pre-order window: up to 14 days ahead and roughly until 20 hours before departure.
