The headline referred to two separate offers reported on November 10, 2025: standard AirPods 4 without active noise cancellation (ANC) for $84.99, and refurbished iPhones at Woot starting at $119.99. These were sale-period prices, not verified current offers.
What the 2025 sale included
HotHardware reported the offers in an article published November 10, 2025. The listed prices, inventory and retailer terms below describe that period only; they have not been verified as available now. Read HotHardware’s original sale report.

Was the $84.99 AirPods 4 deal the ANC model?
No. The $84.99 price was for the standard AirPods 4 without ANC. HotHardware reported the separate ANC configuration at $149.99. The two prices were not interchangeable offers for the same model.

The sale article described the ANC version as adding active noise cancellation, Live Translation support, a wireless charging case compatible with Apple Watch and Qi chargers, and Find My support. It also listed features shared by the two configurations, including an H2 chip, Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, Adaptive EQ, a force sensor, IP54 water-, sweat- and dust-resistance, up to five hours of listening per charge, and up to 30 hours with the case. Those specifications are claims from the 2025 article, not a current buying guide. Apple’s former AirPods 4 page now redirects to its AirPods 5 product page; that page concerns a different product and should not be used to imply the old sale or AirPods 4 availability continues.
Which iPhones were “starting at $119”?
The $119 headline referred to a refurbished iPhone XR at Woot, listed from $119.99—not a new iPhone. HotHardware also reported the third-generation iPhone SE from $129.99 and the iPhone 11 from $159.99. The article separately listed a refurbished 256GB iPhone 16 Pro Max at $849.99. All of these amounts describe Woot listings reported at the time, not current prices or inventory.

What Woot’s Grade A description meant
HotHardware relayed Woot’s description of Grade A items as “inspected and guaranteed to have minimal cosmetic damage, which is not noticeable when the device is held at arm’s length.” The report said the devices had passed a full diagnostic, worked like new and had at least 85% battery capacity. It also reported a one-year limited warranty for the iPhone 16 Pro Max listing specifically; it did not establish that the same warranty applied to every listed model.
