Qualifications and experience
AIIMS listed two qualification routes:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing, or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing, from an institution or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or a State Nursing Council, together with registration as Nurse and Midwife.
- A General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) diploma from a recognized institution, board, or council, registration as Nurse and Midwife, and two years of experience after obtaining the qualification in a hospital with at least 50 beds.
