Agora announced a $34 million Series B on May 16, 2024, led by Qumra Capital, with returning investors Insight Partners and Aleph participating. TechCrunch reported that the round brought the company’s total funding to $63 million. Agora builds software and provides services for real estate investment firms handling investor and fund administration.
What does Agora do?
Agora serves real estate investment firms with tools and services for administrative work around funds and their investors. TechCrunch described its offering as covering data management, automated reporting, fundraising workflows, bookkeeping, and tax services.
The company’s co-founder and CEO, Bar Mor, said firms were managing this work across spreadsheets, emails, and disconnected systems. His description explains the operational problem Agora targets; it is a founder’s account, not independent evidence that every firm faces the same challenges.
What does “Carta for real estate” mean?
Mor used “Carta for real estate” to convey Agora’s ambition: digitize and organize administrative work in a data-heavy investment business. It is a category analogy, not a claim that Agora and Carta have identical products. The comparison is about the broad role of software in supporting investment administration, while Agora’s reported workflows are tailored to real estate firms and include fundraising, reporting, bookkeeping, tax, and investor management.

The Series B is evidence of a financing event and of Agora’s stated focus on real estate investment administration. It does not, by itself, establish the company’s current product lineup, pricing, customer count, assets under management, revenue, or later financing. The figures above should therefore be read in their historical context rather than as a present-day company profile.
