The headline refers to Adorama’s GoPro HERO12 Black Camera Holiday Bundle, featured in a Tech Times promotion published November 21, 2023. It is a historical offer—not a verified Black Friday 2026 deal. Adorama’s surfaced listings include the HERO12 bundle at $309 and several HERO13 packages, but prices and stock can change; check the final cart before buying.
Which GoPro deal did the headline refer to?
Tech Times’ November 21, 2023 article, “Snap, Shop, Save: Adorama’s Best Black Friday Deal for the GoPro Bundle!”, promoted Adorama’s GoPro HERO12 Black Camera Holiday Bundle. Its focus was the HERO12 Black camera, The Handler floating handgrip and Head Strap 2.0, alongside the camera’s 5.3K video, HDR and HyperSmooth 6.0 features.

That article’s “best” wording describes a 2023 promotion, not a current, independently established ranking. Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27, 2026, so as of August 18, 2026 it is still in the future. Adorama’s current GoPro listings are not proof that a 2026 Black Friday offer has been announced.

Adorama’s HERO12 holiday-bundle listing identifies SKU GPHERO12HBK2. Its core components are:
#1 Best Overall
- High Dynamic Range Video + Photo: HERO12 Black takes its best-in-class image quality to the next level with HDR for both videos (5.3K and 4K) and photos. Great in environments with both shadows and bright light, HDR captures the subtle details of the scene that might typically blend into the darkness of shadows or disappear in the bright spots of your shot. The result is dynamic footage with true-to-life color and precision.
- Unbelieveable Image Quality: With 5.3K video that gives you 91% more resolution than 4K and an incredible 665% more than 1080p, HERO12 Black captures the action with crisp detail and cinematic image quality with High Dynamic Range (HDR) while also taking 27MP photos. You can also grab stunning photos up to 24.7MP of your favorite shots from your videos using the GoPro Quik app.
- Emmy Award- Winning HyperSmooth 6.0 Stabilization: HyperSmooth continues to set the bar for insanely smooth footage and has the hardware to back it up—a 2021 Emmy for In-Camera Sensor and Software Stabilization. HERO12 Black makes it even better by maximizing HyperSmooth AutoBoost performance with more stabilization while still delivering less image cropping. Bike, skate, ski, chase your kids through the park or get awesome pet POV shots—even the shakiest footage comes out silky smooth.
- Rugged + Waterproof to 33ft (10m): Completely waterproof and as tough as ever, HERO12 Black is ready to capture the fun on any adventure. Its legendary durability can take a beating and keep going, whether you’re ripping through mud, snow or water (down to 33ft/10m). A water-repelling lens cover even helps eliminate lens flare and other artifacts to make your photos and videos even more stunning.
- What's Included: HERO12 Black, Enduro Rechargeable Battery, Curved Adhesive Mount, Mounting Buckle + Thumb Screw, USB-C Cable
- GoPro HERO12 Black camera.
- GoPro Dual Battery Charger.
- Two Enduro rechargeable batteries.
- The Handler floating handgrip.
- A head strap and additional accessories.
The surfaced package information does not establish a memory card as a standard inclusion. Confirm the box contents for the exact SKU rather than assuming that “bundle” means storage is included. Promotional descriptions emphasize Head Strap 2.0; check the product listing for the exact strap supplied.
What the HERO12 camera offers
Adorama describes the HERO12 Black as recording 5.3K video, capturing 27-megapixel photos, supporting HDR video and photos, and using HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization. The listing also states that the camera is waterproof to 33 feet (10 meters) without an additional housing, and supports the GoPro Quik app. Waterproofing is a stated product rating, not a guarantee for a damaged camera or every real-world condition.
Rank #2
- What's Included: Hero12 Black Camera, enduro battery, usb-c charging cable, curved adhesive mount, mounting buckle, and thumb screw
- Rugged & Waterproof to 33ft (10m): HERO12 Black is built to withstand extreme conditions and is fully waterproof, making it the ultimate adventure companion in any environment.
- 2x Longer Runtime: Achieve up to 70 minutes of continuous recording at 5.3K60 with dramatically improved battery efficiency and the powerful 1720mAh Enduro battery.
- Unbelievable 5.3K Video & 27MP Photos: Capture your adventures in stunning detail with 91% more resolution than 4K and 665% more than 1080p, plus grab 24.7MP photos from your videos using the GoPro Quik app.
- High Dynamic Range (HDR) Video & Photo: HDR captures more detail in both bright and shadowy scenes, ensuring true-to-life colors and precision in every shot.
The 2023 promotional article called HyperSmooth 6.0 Emmy Award-winning. That is the promotion’s claim, not evidence of a comparative test of this bundle. The package’s two Enduro batteries and charger may help users who record through long outings, but actual runtime varies with settings and conditions; no single recording-time figure applies to every use.

Adorama’s surfaced listing showed the HERO12 bundle at $309, reduced from a displayed $379—a $70 difference, or about 18% against that comparison price. Treat those figures as a retailer price snapshot, not proof that the bundle previously sold for $379 for a particular length of time or that every accessory is worth its standalone price. For a practical value check, separate the price reduction from the usefulness of what is in the box:
- Battery and charger: Two spare batteries and a dual charger are useful for travel, outdoor days and longer sessions if you will rotate batteries. They add little value if you already own compatible spares.
- Handler: A floating grip is a useful fit for handheld water activities. If you do not film around water or prefer a different grip, its value to you is lower.
- Head strap: It suits hands-free point-of-view filming, but is not useful to every creator or activity.
- Additional accessories: Count and quality are not the same thing. A large kit can contain inexpensive mounts or adapters you will not use; do not assign them a value based only on quantity.
- Storage: Since a card is not established as part of this HERO12 package, budget for one if you need it and verify compatibility and contents.
The bundle is most compelling when the camera and several included accessories match your needs. Without current standalone prices for every component, the $70 displayed reduction alone cannot establish that this is cheaper than buying only the items you want.

- High-Quality HDR Images: Enabled HDR for both video (5.3K and 4K) and photo modes to render more detail in your shadows and highlights. The GoPro Hero12 Black captures up to 5.3K60 video or up to 27MP RAW photos with crisp details and cinematic image quality. You can even grab 24.7MP frames from your videos using the Quik app. Record 2.7K video at a 240 frame rate for playback at 8x slow motion. Dual LCD Screens: The GoPro HERO12 Black features dual LCD screens, making it incredibly versatile for any shooting scenario.

The durable construction means it can handle drops, impacts, and extreme conditions, so you can take it anywhere with confidence.
- HyperSmooth 6.0 with AutoBoost: Upgraded HyperSmooth 6.0 features AutoBoost performance that reduces image cropping, which might otherwise compromise your framing. The GoPro Hero12 Black 360° Horizon Lock keeps your footage steady and level, even if your camera rotates completely.

Record continuous 5.3K60 footage for 70 minutes or 1080p30 video for over 1.5 hours. With the new high-efficiency battery, the GoPro HERO12 Black lets you capture more of your adventures on a single charge. Enjoy significantly longer recording times compared to previous models, so you can keep filming without worrying about running out of power.
HERO12 or HERO13: which package makes more sense?
Adorama’s surfaced HERO13 listings include packages at several price points. The retailer describes the HERO13 as offering 5.3K60 recording, HyperSmooth 6.0, waterproofing to 33 feet and Enduro battery support. Do not treat a HERO13 package as the same product as the HERO12 holiday bundle: generation, SKU and included items differ.

Choose the HERO12 bundle for a lower-cost complete kit
If the $309 listing remains active, the HERO12 is the lower-cost choice among these snapshots and includes a dual charger and two Enduro batteries. It makes sense if you want those items and do not need the newer generation. Check whether the inventory is new, open-box or clearance stock before comparing.
Choose a HERO13 package for the newer generation
The surfaced HERO13 with a 64GB card and EVA case was $329—$20 more than the observed HERO12 price. That may be a better fit if you want a newer-generation camera and prefer included storage and protection to extra batteries. Whether the difference is worthwhile depends on the exact contents and your priorities.
Choose an extended-power kit only if you will use its batteries
The surfaced HERO13 extended-power listings ranged from $429 to $439, with one larger kit listing three Enduro batteries, a dual charger, 64GB card, case and 47-piece accessory set. This direction suits frequent outdoor filming or travel if you will use the added power capacity; casual users may pay for accessories that remain unused.

- Consider it if you want an action camera with a ready-to-use set of mounts and grip, expect to benefit from multiple batteries, and find the live price meaningfully below comparable HERO13 packages.
- Compare a HERO13 bundle if the price gap is small, you want the newer generation, or a package’s card, case or battery configuration better matches your plans.
- Skip the extras if you already have compatible batteries, mounts or a preferred third-party setup. A camera-only offer may suit you better, if available at a compelling price.
- Think about the activity before buying: a head strap supports hands-free point-of-view filming, while a floating grip is most relevant for water use. Neither accessory is automatically useful to every buyer.
