What the available 2016 E.C. exam listings show
A third-party Scribd listing titled “2016 Accounting & Finance Exit Exam Answers” describes a Ministry of Education Accounting and Finance examination and labels it a February 2016 E.C. final exam. Its excerpt includes questions touching on several subject areas. A separate Course Hero result describes a Saturday 2016 E.C. final exit exam with answers and includes examples on branch accounting and receivables write-offs. The differing labels and versions mean that neither listing should be treated as a definitive or verified copy. Scribd listing; Course Hero listing.
The excerpts provide examples, not a complete syllabus. They indicate a broad range of material, including:
- Accounting and reporting: accounting principles, revenue recognition, FIFO inventory and perpetual inventory.
- Cost and management accounting: fixed-cost behavior and the cash conversion cycle.
- Auditing: audit engagement documents.
- Finance and institutions: finance companies and public insurance.
- Ethiopian public-sector context: federal revenue allocation and government business enterprises.
- Other accounting applications: branch accounting and receivables write-offs.
These are topics visible in the available listings; they do not establish the exam’s complete coverage or how much any topic counts.

What is—and is not—known about the blueprint
A third-party listing of a BA Accounting and Finance blueprint is for 2015 E.C., not 2016 E.C. It describes broad graduate competencies such as analyzing business events, recognizing and measuring transactions, designing accounting information systems, preparing financial reports in accordance with IFRS, and auditing financial statements and supporting systems. It offers useful context about the program, but it cannot establish the later exam’s content or weighting. 2015 E.C. blueprint listing.
A separate, later-hosted document result refers to 15 core or major courses grouped into five thematic areas, including financial-resource management, risk, investment opportunities, professional services and ethics. Its applicability to the 2016 E.C. examination is unconfirmed, so it should not be used as the exam’s official topic map.

No official 2016 E.C. notice, blueprint, topic distribution, schedule or rules were verified. The Gregorian-year equivalent of the exam date is also not established by these listings; E.C. refers to the Ethiopian Calendar, and the “February 2016 E.C.” label should not be converted into a Gregorian date without a reliable source.
How to prepare without an authenticated syllabus
Use the available question examples to guide review, not to narrow preparation to a presumed list of tested topics. Start with your program materials and any official instructions or syllabus supplied by your institution or exam authority. Then use the following approach:
Rank #3
- Build a course-based checklist. Organize your review by the accounting and finance courses you completed, rather than assuming the online excerpts represent the full exam.
- Practice both concepts and calculations. Review definitions and accounting treatment alongside worked problems in areas illustrated by the listings, such as inventory methods, revenue recognition, cost behavior and branch accounting.
- Include audit, finance and Ethiopian context. Do not focus only on financial accounting: the excerpts also point to auditing, finance institutions and public-sector material.
- Check the currency of standards. If you use a financial accounting textbook or other reference, check its edition and compare its coverage with your course materials and applicable reporting standards. No particular book or edition has been verified as an exam guide.
- Assess practice materials critically. Check whether questions have worked explanations, cover the relevant courses and standards, and identify their source. A document labeled “with answers” is not thereby an official or validated answer key.
How to evaluate online practice resources
A commercial site advertises Accounting and Finance exit-exam practice, but that establishes only that the offering is advertised—not that it is official, aligned with the 2016 E.C. exam, accurate or effective. EUEE System.
Before relying on any paid or free practice resource, check its syllabus alignment, worked-answer quality, coverage of Ethiopian public-sector context, treatment of accounting standards, and whether it clearly distinguishes official material from user-uploaded content. Do not use a claimed pass rate or promise of exam success unless it is supported by verifiable evidence.
