Pearson Canada identifies Accounting 1, 7th Edition as a resource for Grades 11–12. Its print Student Book, separate consumable Student Workbook, and one-year Student eText have different ISBNs, so check your school’s materials list before ordering. Pearson’s available order forms are from 2023; they do not establish current prices or availability.

What is Accounting 1, 7th Edition?

Accounting 1, 7th Edition is a Pearson Canada school accounting resource intended for students in Grades 11–12. Pearson describes it as a Canadian resource and highlights topics and features intended for secondary-school accounting study. The grade range and edition features are publisher descriptions, not an independent assessment of course fit or learning outcomes. Pearson Canada’s resource page identifies the title and summarizes what it says is new in the seventh edition.

What Pearson says is new in the seventh edition

Pearson Canada lists these changes and features for the edition:

  • Full-colour presentation and updated prices, contexts, and case studies.
  • New Simply Accounting and Microsoft Excel templates, along with improved spreadsheet models.
  • An introduction to cash flow and coverage of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Adjustments to the book’s established teaching approach, plus material on business ethics.
  • New examples, cases, career profiles, and summary exercises.

These are Pearson’s descriptions of the product; the resource page does not quantify the changes or independently compare the edition with earlier versions.

Which format and ISBN should you look for?

Pearson’s 2023 New School order form distinguishes the student materials by format and ISBN. Use the ISBN, not just the title, to check that a listing matches the item your course requires.

Resource Pearson-listed detail What to check
Student Book (print) ISBN 9780132667647 This is the physical student book. Confirm the assigned edition before purchasing.
Student Workbook (consumable) ISBN 9780132667654 A separate companion item; ask whether your course requires it.
Student eText One-year access; ISBN 9780133753134 Digital access rather than a physical book. The access term is listed on a 2023 order form, so verify current terms.
Teacher Resource eText One-year and three-year options listed Teacher material, not a student substitute. The options are from the 2023 order form.
TestGen, Extra Practice and Testbank Listed as a separate resource Teacher or school resource, not ordinarily a student purchase.

The details in the table come from Pearson’s 2023 New School order form. A separate 2023 Secondary eText order form also lists the one-year student access under ISBN 9780133753134 and a multiple-access-code school purchase under ISBN 9780321936738. Because these are dated ordering documents, confirm current availability and access terms with Pearson or your school.

Do you need the workbook, print book, or eText?

There is no single format choice that applies to every class. Follow the course’s required-materials list and confirm whether it calls for print, digital access, or both. The workbook has its own ISBN and is not the same product as the Student Book; Pearson’s listing alone does not mean your class requires it.

  1. Check the assigned title and edition. Make sure the materials list specifies Accounting 1, 7th Edition.
  2. Match the ISBN to the format. Use 9780132667647 for the print Student Book, 9780132667654 for the consumable Student Workbook, or 9780133753134 for the one-year Student eText listed on Pearson’s 2023 form.
  3. Ask about the workbook. Confirm whether it is assigned before buying it separately.
  4. Verify current terms. Ask the school or Pearson about present-day price, stock, and digital access duration; the available ordering information is dated 2023.

What to know before buying

  • The student book, workbook, and eText are distinct items, not interchangeable ISBNs for one product.
  • The school’s course requirements should determine which format or combination you need.
  • The published order forms establish identifiers and the terms stated on those forms; they do not confirm current prices, current availability, or a particular school’s requirements.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
