What Verbose The Label launched with
A May 2022 report described the launch collection as five ribbed garments: a mini dress, midi dress, jumpsuit, polo shirt and matching flared pants. The reported size range was 6 to 26. These are launch-period details, not confirmation that the items remain available. The Cairns Post reported the collection and website in May 2022.
Why Chatfield said she started the label
In a June 2022 interview with Mamamia, Chatfield said the idea emerged from conversations with business partners about clothing brands they felt treated size inclusion as little more than showing one small-size model and one larger-size model. She said her sister, a fashion designer, was a major creative force behind the venture; Chatfield described herself as someone who liked fashion, not as a fashion designer.
Chatfield framed the aim as making pieces she would wear regularly and addressing a gap she and her team felt left people uncomfortable or underserved. How the launch website presented fit information
The Cairns Post’s 2022 coverage described a shopping interface that allowed customers to shop by size and see garments modeled by people associated with that size. The site also showed model measurements and height alongside a size chart. That information could help shoppers compare the listed model details with their own measurements, but it does not establish how accurately garments fit every customer.
These are reported features of the launch-period website. They should not be read as a description of a current store or proof that the label is taking orders now.

What was reported about the label’s pause
In a September 2023 interview with Rolling Stone Australia, Chatfield said she had been too busy to run a clothing brand properly and was pausing it while she took a break. In that same article, the publication discussed reports that some orders had not been fulfilled and that questions on social media had gone unanswered. Those are reported customer concerns; the article does not establish the outcome for every order or a final resolution. Rolling Stone Australia’s September 21, 2023 interview is the latest directly relevant status report cited here.

The sources cited here establish the May 2022 launch and Chatfield’s 2023 statement that she was pausing the label. They do not establish whether Verbose The Label is accepting orders, has permanently closed, or has resolved the fulfillment concerns reported in 2023. The launch range and size chart details are historical information, not evidence of current stock or service.
