Abakkus Mutual Fund and JioBlackRock Mutual Fund have each filed draft documents with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for three proposed schemes. The filings are proposals, not evidence of final approval or that investors can subscribe. SEBI’s filing list dates four entries 8 October 2026 and the two JioBlackRock debt-index entries 9 October 2026.

What each fund house has proposed

Abakkus’s three filings cover hybrid strategies with different approaches to equity and fixed income. JioBlackRock’s proposals comprise two target-maturity debt index funds and a silver ETF. The characteristics below are reported proposal terms, not performance results.

Fund house and proposed scheme Strategy and benchmark or underlying Reported allocation Reported managers
Abakkus Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund Open-ended dynamic asset allocation; CRISIL Hybrid 50+50 – Moderate Index 10–90% equity and equity-related instruments; 10–90% debt and money-market instruments Sanjay Doshi and Abhishek Krishnaswami Srinivas
Abakkus Aggressive Hybrid Fund Open-ended hybrid scheme investing predominantly in equity; CRISIL Hybrid 35+65 – Aggressive Index 65–80% equity and equity-related instruments; 20–35% fixed income; 0–15% exchange-traded commodity derivatives, Gold ETFs and Silver ETFs; 0–10% InvIT units Pratish Krishnan Kolleri and Abhishek Krishnaswami Srinivas
Abakkus Arbitrage Fund Open-ended arbitrage scheme; Nifty 50 Arbitrage Index 65–80% equity and equity-related instruments; 0–35% debt and money-market instruments, including margin money used in derivatives transactions Sanjay Doshi, Prashant Shelar and Abhishek Krishnaswami Srinivas
JioBlackRock CRISIL-IBX AAA NBFC Index – Jun 2027 Fund Open-ended target-maturity scheme tracking the CRISIL-IBX AAA NBFC Index – Jun 2027 95–100% in fixed-income securities comprising the index; 0–5% in debt or money-market instruments, cash and equivalents Arun Ramachandran, Vikrant Mehta and Siddharth Deb
JioBlackRock CRISIL-IBX AAA Financial Services Index – Sep 2027 Fund Open-ended target-maturity scheme tracking the CRISIL-IBX AAA Financial Services Index – Sep 2027 95–100% in the index’s fixed-income securities; 0–5% in debt or money-market instruments, cash and equivalents Arun Ramachandran, Vikrant Mehta and Siddharth Deb
JioBlackRock Silver ETF Open-ended scheme tracking the domestic price of silver 95–100% in silver and silver-related instruments; 0–5% in debt or money-market instruments Tanvi Kacheria and Haresh Mehta

These reported allocation bands and strategy descriptions distinguish the proposals; they do not establish future returns or suitability for an individual investor. The Economic Times report described relatively low interest-rate risk and relatively low credit risk for the June 2027 NBFC index proposal, and moderate interest-rate risk and relatively low credit risk for the September 2027 Financial Services index proposal. Those are reported risk descriptors, not guarantees.

How the two JioBlackRock debt proposals differ

Both proposals are target-maturity funds with 95–100% in fixed-income securities from their respective indices and a 0–5% range for other debt, money-market instruments, cash and equivalents. Their named index exposure and maturity dates differ: one tracks the AAA NBFC index ending June 2027, while the other tracks the AAA Financial Services index ending September 2027. They should not be treated as identical simply because both reference AAA index securities.

Reported minimum applications

The Economic Times report states that all six proposed schemes had a reported minimum lump-sum application of ₹500. It also reports a ₹500 monthly SIP minimum, in multiples of ₹1 thereafter and with at least six instalments, for the three Abakkus schemes and JioBlackRock’s two debt-index funds. It does not state a SIP minimum for the Silver ETF. These are terms reported for draft proposals, not confirmation that applications are open.

What the filing status means

SEBI’s mutual-fund filing list categorizes the entries as drafts: the Abakkus schemes and JioBlackRock Silver ETF are dated 8 October 2026, and JioBlackRock’s two debt-index schemes are dated 9 October 2026. The Economic Times reported the filings on 11 October 2026. The cited documents establish draft-stage filings only; they do not establish final approval, final offer documents or launch.
