The standout Black Friday 2025 streaming offer was the ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle for $4.99 a month for 12 months—$59.88 before tax, or about $60 total. Apple TV+ was reported at $6 a month for six months, while HBO Max’s Basic with Ads plan was $2.99 a month for its first year. All three promotions ended December 1, 2025; they are not available now.
How the headline Black Friday 2025 streaming deals compared
The prices below describe limited-time U.S. offers advertised for Black Friday 2025, not current subscription rates. Their terms differed, so the lowest monthly price does not by itself identify the best value.
| Service and offer | Promotional price and term | Plan and eligibility | Sign-up and deadline | After the promotion |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Disney+ and Hulu bundle | $4.99 a month for 12 months; $59.88 before tax, calculated from the monthly price (about $60 total) | Both services were ad-supported. Reported for new and eligible returning customers. | Offer was available through December 1, 2025. See MacRumors’ November 2025 report and Engadget’s roundup. | MacRumors reported the price would revert to the then-current monthly price after 12 months unless cancelled; its report cited $12.99 a month as the regular comparison price. |
| Apple TV+ | $6 a month for six months; $36 total | Reported for new and eligible returning subscribers. | Engadget said customers had to subscribe directly through Apple, not through a third party. The reported deadline was December 1, 2025. | Not stated in the cited Engadget report. |
| HBO Max Basic with Ads | $2.99 a month for the first 12 months; $35.88 across 12 months, calculated from the monthly price | Basic with Ads only; for new HBO Max customers. Warner Bros. Discovery described the offer as 70% off its stated $10.99 monthly price. | Eligible customers could sign up at HBOMax.com and through select partners, including Apple, Google Play, Roku, Samsung, Xumo and Amazon Fire TV. The official offer ended Monday, December 1, 2025. | The official announcement did not state a post-promotion renewal price. |
Engadget reported the Disney+ and Hulu, Apple TV+, and HBO Max terms in its Black Friday 2025 roundup. MacRumors reported the Disney bundle’s exact $4.99 price and renewal context. Warner Bros. Discovery’s November 2025 announcement is the primary source for HBO Max’s tier, price, discount, eligibility, platforms and deadline.
Which offer made the most sense?
For two services at a low annual cost: Disney+ and Hulu
At $4.99 a month for a full year, the bundle was the clearest choice for someone who wanted both services and accepted ads. The rounded “$60 for a year” description refers to $59.88 before tax, based on 12 payments at the reported monthly price. The offer was not an ad-free bundle.

For a shorter commitment: Apple TV+
Engadget’s reported offer amounted to $36 for six months, rather than a full-year subscription. It required signing up directly through Apple. The specific promotion was not independently confirmed by an Apple announcement among the available sources, so treat its terms as reported rather than as an independently verified provider offer.
For the lowest monthly price: HBO Max Basic with Ads
HBO Max’s $2.99 monthly offer was the lowest of these three headline prices, but it applied only to Basic with Ads, for new customers, and for the first 12 months. Warner Bros. Discovery announced the terms and deadline in its official release. A lower entry price may not be the best fit if you wanted an ad-free tier or were already a customer.

What to check before comparing streaming promotions
- Total cost: Multiply the monthly price by the entire promotional term. A short introductory offer and a year-long discount are not directly equivalent.
- Plan tier: The Disney+ and Hulu bundle and HBO Max offer were ad-supported. Compare equivalent tiers if avoiding ads matters to you.
- Eligibility: The Disney bundle and Apple TV+ offer were reported for new and eligible returning subscribers; HBO Max’s official offer was limited to new customers.
- Where you sign up: Apple TV+ required direct subscription through Apple according to Engadget. HBO Max allowed sign-up at HBOMax.com and through listed partners. A third-party subscription route may have different terms.
- Renewal: Check the post-promotion price and cancellation deadline before subscribing. For the Disney bundle, MacRumors reported the promotional price would revert after 12 months unless cancelled. The cited reports did not state renewal prices for the Apple TV+ and HBO Max offers.
- Expiration: The deals in this roundup ended December 1, 2025. Their former prices should not be treated as live offers.
Other streaming and entertainment offers reported in 2025
Engadget’s updated roundup also included Sling TV Orange day passes, Paramount+, Starz, Plex, Fubo TV, DirecTV, Audible and MasterClass. Examples it listed included a $1 Sling Orange day pass, Paramount+ for $6 for two months, Starz for $12 for one year, a $150 Plex lifetime pass and introductory live-TV discounts. Those are historical, secondary-source-reported examples; their terms and eligibility were not independently established here, so they are not directly comparable with the three headline subscription offers.
These were offers for the 2025 Black Friday period, not a forecast of 2026 promotions. Any current deal needs to be checked against the provider’s active offer and eligibility terms.
