The December 1, 2025 roundups from WIRED and Forbes Vetted highlighted TVs ranging from entry-level LED sets to premium OLED and Mini LED models. Their recommendations are useful as a model shortlist; for a purchase today, verify the exact model, screen size, price and availability with the retailer.
Which Cyber Monday 2025 TV deals stood out?
The two roundups did not publish a shared, definitive ranking of exactly 20 offers. Instead, they featured overlapping selections of televisions at different prices and performance levels. The models below are the representative options identified in those articles, with deal figures included only where the sources reported them.
| TV or model family | What the roundup highlighted | Historical offer detail |
|---|---|---|
| LG C5 OLED | WIRED listed the C5 among its OLED picks. Its excerpt gives two offer/regular-price pairs in differing retailer or size contexts, so they should not be combined or treated as one universal price. | WIRED listed $1,239 versus $1,398 in one context and $1,100 versus $2,700 in another. Check the original listing for the matching size and retailer. |
| LG G5 OLED | Premium OLED option named by WIRED. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Samsung S95F QD-OLED | WIRED described a versatile premium set with a matte screen, four HDMI 2.1 ports and 165-Hz gaming; it also noted Tizen sluggishness and no Dolby Vision. | WIRED listed $2,328 for 65 inches at Amazon and $1,898 for 55 inches at Walmart. These were different sizes and historical offers. |
| Samsung S90D QD-OLED | WIRED cited 144-Hz refresh, VRR and cloud gaming. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Sony Bravia 8 II | Named in both WIRED’s and Forbes Vetted’s selections. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Sony Bravia 7 | WIRED noted that off-axis viewing is a weakness; Forbes Vetted also included the model. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| TCL QM6K | WIRED presented it as a general-purpose option, citing color accuracy, processing, Mini LED backlighting and an anti-glare coating that helps with direct sunlight. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| TCL QM7K | Named by WIRED. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| TCL QM8K | WIRED described it as suited to bright rooms. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Hisense U75QG | Named by WIRED. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Hisense U8QG | WIRED described it as especially bright and feature-rich, while noting SDR color-accuracy concerns from reviewer Ryan Waniata. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Hisense U6QF | Budget-oriented option named by WIRED. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Panasonic W70 (2025) | Budget-oriented option named by WIRED. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Roku Pro Series QLED TV (2025) | Budget-oriented option named by WIRED. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Vizio V4K55M-0801 | Budget-oriented option named by WIRED. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Samsung The Frame | Forbes Vetted included this lifestyle-oriented TV. | Forbes Vetted reported 53% off the 55-inch model in its December 1, 2025 roundup. |
| LG OLED Evo C5, 65-inch | Forbes Vetted included the 65-inch C5. | Forbes Vetted reported $1,300 off in its December 1, 2025 roundup. |
| LG OLED Z3 | Named by Forbes Vetted. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Samsung The Frame Pro | Named by Forbes Vetted. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Samsung QN990F Neo QLED 8K | Named by Forbes Vetted. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Hisense U7 Mini-LED | Named by Forbes Vetted. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Amazon Fire TV 2-Series and 4-Series | Both entry-level series were named by Forbes Vetted. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| Sony Bravia 5 and Bravia 3 | Both named by Forbes Vetted. | Not stated in the available source details. |
| LG QNED90T | Named by Forbes Vetted. | Not stated in the available source details. |
The model list contains more than 20 entries because the roundups overlap only partly and sometimes group several sizes or series under one recommendation. It should not be read as a verified count of 20 distinct, comparable offers.
How to choose among the TV types
OLED and QD-OLED for dark-room contrast
The roundups distinguish OLED-based models—including LG’s C5 and G5, Samsung’s S95F and S90D, and Sony’s Bravia 8 II—from LCD-based QLED and Mini LED sets. WIRED emphasizes OLED’s deep black levels. QD-OLED models combine that display category with quantum-dot color, but a label alone does not establish performance for every model or size. Compare the exact model-year specifications and reviews before choosing.

Mini LED and QLED for bright rooms
WIRED’s notes point to brightness and glare as practical differentiators: it describes the TCL QM6K’s anti-glare coating as helpful in direct sunlight, the QM8K as a bright-room choice, and the Hisense U8QG as especially bright. Those are editorial descriptions, not results from a controlled comparison of all models. If the room has windows opposite the screen, look for model-specific information on brightness and reflections, not just a QLED or Mini LED label.
Viewing angle matters when people sit off-center
WIRED flags off-axis viewing as a weakness of the Sony Bravia 7. If several viewers sit spread across a wide couch, check viewing-angle performance for the exact set; a screen that looks strong straight on may not preserve the same picture from the side.

What gamers should check beyond screen size
Refresh rate and connection features can matter more than a large discount. WIRED describes the Samsung S95F as supporting 165-Hz gaming through four HDMI 2.1 ports, and the S90D as offering 144-Hz refresh, variable refresh rate (VRR) and cloud gaming. These are model-specific claims; confirm the exact year, size and regional specification before buying. Also check that the console or PC and the HDMI connection you plan to use can take advantage of the features.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Check HDR formats and the smart-TV platform
Picture quality is not the only difference between these options. WIRED notes that the Samsung S95F lacks Dolby Vision, and its roundup discusses variation in HDR-format support and streaming platforms across models. If you rely on a particular HDR format or app, confirm its support on the precise model and regional version rather than assuming every TV in a brand’s lineup behaves alike. The same roundup describes Tizen on the S95F as sluggish; that is a reviewer’s usability observation, not a measurement of all Samsung TVs.

How to judge a Cyber Monday TV discount
- Match the exact model and size. A 55-inch price cannot establish the value of a 65-inch set, and similar model names can refer to different generations or specifications.
- Compare the same configuration at the retailer. Check the product code, screen size, seller and included features before comparing prices. The historical S95F listings, for example, covered different sizes at different retailers.
- Treat published savings as dated claims. Forbes Vetted’s December 1, 2025 roundup reported 53% off the 55-inch Samsung The Frame and $1,300 off the 65-inch LG OLED Evo C5. Those figures describe offers reported at that time, not current discounts.
- Do not infer a universal sale pattern. Forbes Vetted said some Black Friday offers continued into Cyber Monday and that some models fell by roughly a further 5% in its 2025 price tracking. That account does not guarantee the same movement for another model or year.
- Recheck availability and final price. A roundup’s reported deal may have expired, sold out or changed. Verify the live retailer page before relying on its price or stock status.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
