What did LogRhythm do?

LogRhythm provided enterprise security information and event management (SIEM) software. In its 2018 announcement, the company described its platform as combining SIEM, user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA), network traffic and behavior analytics, and security automation and orchestration. That product description is the company’s characterization at the time of the deal.

The same release reported that LogRhythm served more than 2,500 enterprise customers worldwide and had been positioned as a Leader in Gartner’s SIEM Magic Quadrant for six consecutive years. These were company-reported claims in 2018, not current customer figures or independently verified assessments here. The 2018 release

What did the parties say the investment would do?

LogRhythm’s then-chairman, president and CEO Andy Grolnick said, “LogRhythm believes it has found an ideal partner in Thoma Bravo.” Thoma Bravo managing partner Seth Boro said the firm looked to “further accelerate product innovation and drive continued customer success.” Both comments were statements by parties to the transaction; they describe their stated expectations, not demonstrated outcomes.

What happened to LogRhythm afterward?

Thoma Bravo reported that LogRhythm and Exabeam completed a merger on July 17, 2024, and that the combined company retained the Exabeam name. Thoma Bravo’s merger announcement This later corporate change does not, by itself, establish product availability or how customers’ services or accounts were handled.
