Five red flags to investigate
1. Earnings claims without clear supporting evidence
MarksInsights reports that the offer makes claims including earnings of up to $500 a day. Before relying on any figure, ask for written support that identifies the period measured, how results were calculated, and how many buyers achieved them—and what share of all buyers that represents. The FTC says covered business opportunities that make earnings claims have disclosure and substantiation obligations. Whether those requirements apply to a particular offer depends on its facts; the available information does not establish that the rule applies to Online Cash Machine. 2. An unclear business model or source of revenue
The reviews characterize the program as dropshipping training but also raise concerns about promoting or reselling the program and recruiting buyers. The available reports do not prove that participants must recruit others or that recruitment is the source of income. Ask the seller to explain, in writing:
- What product or service would you sell, and who is the end customer?
- How would you reach those customers?
- What expenses would you incur to make sales?
- Would income come from sales to external customers, selling the training, recruiting new buyers, or some combination?

3. A promoter whose identity is hard to verify
The reviews give different first names for a Meyers promoter, and MarksInsights questions whether its named promoter is verifiable. That discrepancy is a reason to check who is actually selling the program; it is not proof that anyone used a false identity. Look for the legal entity responsible for the sale, working contact details, a verifiable business history, and any disclosure documents that apply to the transaction. 4. A low advertised price that may not show the full cost
The reviews report conflicting entry prices and additional offers: MarksInsights describes $17 upfront and a $97 add-on, while the 2023 Biz News Weekly review reports a $47 entry price plus further upsells. These are figures reported by the reviewers, not verified current prices. Check the complete checkout flow for required and optional purchases, recurring charges, and the cost of continuing or using the training.

5. Pressure or testimonials standing in for evidence

- Identify the seller. Ask for the legal business name, contact details, business history, and any disclosure document applicable to the transaction.
- Get earnings claims in writing. For each promised or suggested result, request the time period, supporting records, number of buyers who achieved it, and share of buyers represented.
- Map the business model. Establish what you would sell, who would buy it, how you would reach them, what expenses you would face, and whether income depends on recruiting or reselling the program.
- Calculate the full cost. Request a complete list of required and optional charges, recurring fees, refund terms, and cancellation steps before entering payment information.
- Compare the answers. Check whether the sales page, checkout flow, and written documents agree. Pause if they conflict or if the seller will not answer material questions clearly.

How to interpret the FTC’s separate case
