What was the revised OSSC CTSRE-2024 Prelims schedule?
In a report published May 13, 2025, Scroll said the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) moved the preliminary examination from its originally scheduled date of May 4 to May 18, 2025. The sitting was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to noon. The notice concerned Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical) recruitment under Advertisement No. 1233/OSSC, dated March 14, 2024. Scroll’s May 13, 2025 report is the source for these historical dates; an original revised OSSC notice confirming them was not available in the materials reviewed.
When were admit cards available?
Scroll reported that admit cards would be available from May 14, 2025, at the OSSC website. That release date has passed. For any current recruitment or active examination, rely on the latest OSSC notice and the instructions for the specific post rather than this 2025 schedule.
How to access the official OSSC admit-card flow
The OSSC portal provides a Download Admit Card flow. Its form asks candidates to select a post, enter their date of birth, choose a registered mobile number, username, or registration number, and complete a captcha. The portal now displays newer notices, so check the relevant current notice before using the form.

What exam pattern and vacancies were reported?
Scroll reported that the preliminary paper had 150 questions for 150 marks, with 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer. It also reported 381 vacancies and a selection process of prelims, mains, and certificate verification. These details come from the contemporaneous secondary report; the original revised OSSC notice was not available for independent confirmation.
