Stripe has not disclosed a current cash balance in the public materials cited here. Its $159 billion tender-offer valuation, $1.9 trillion in 2025 payment volume, and reported growth in free cash flow are different measures; none tells you how much cash Stripe holds.
What is publicly known about Stripe’s cash?
The latest cited public materials do not state Stripe’s cash and cash equivalents. Stripe is private, and its public announcements provide selected business metrics rather than a current balance-sheet cash figure. That means there is no supported precise answer to “how much cash?” from these sources.
Stripe’s February 24, 2026 announcement said it would use a portion of its own capital to repurchase shares in a tender offer, while most of the funding would come from investors, including Thrive Capital, Coatue, a16z, and others. What would be needed for a reliable figure?
A defensible answer would require a dated financial statement or another direct disclosure that reports cash and cash equivalents. None of the cited public sources provides that figure. A precise number derived from valuation, payment volume, revenue growth, or free-cash-flow growth would therefore be an estimate without adequate support.
This conclusion is limited to the public materials cited here; it does not establish what information may exist in private company records or other nonpublic filings.
