MobileSyrup reported the discounted plans were gone the following day. The price and terms below describe that historical promotion, not an offer available now.
What the carriers offered on March 31
MobileSyrup reported that all three providers had reduced their 80GB offers to $25 per month for the final day of the sale. The plans included 5G data, Canada/U.S./Mexico roaming, unlimited talk and text, and unlimited international texting. The report also described standard call display and basic voicemail, and said monthly autopay savings ranged from $5 to $10 depending on the provider. Each carrier listed March 31 as the offer’s end date. These were advertised terms, not independently tested service results. MobileSyrup’s March 31 report
| Provider | Reported offer | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Koodo | $35 per month for 80GB, less a $10 monthly credit, for a reported $25 price; speeds up to 250Mbps, or up to 500Mbps with Speed Boost; one included perk. | The $10 credit lasted 24 months. After it ended, the reported price returned to $35 per month. |
| Fido | $25 per month for 80GB; speeds up to 1Gbps; unlimited international calling to 27 countries; enhanced voicemail and a free hotspot add-on were also reported. | The report described autopay savings; those terms should not be assumed to continue beyond the offer deadline. |
| Virgin Plus | $25 per month for 80GB; speeds up to 1Gbps; unlimited international calls to 27 countries were reported. | The March 31 report provided fewer Virgin-specific details, so it does not establish every offer term. |
The stated speeds were plan limits reported by MobileSyrup, not guarantees of the speed a customer would experience. Actual availability and final charges can depend on location, eligibility, taxes and checkout terms.
Why the $25 price was not the same kind of deal at every carrier
Koodo’s advertised price depended on a time-limited monthly credit: the plan was listed at $35, with a $10 credit for 24 months. That makes the post-credit price an important part of the comparison. For Fido and Virgin Plus, MobileSyrup reported $25 plans and autopay discounts, but the article does not establish that their terms were identical to Koodo’s credit structure.
