The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) published the statewide rank list for Assistant Professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the Technical Education Department (Engineering Colleges) under Cat. No. 724/2021. The list is Ranked List No. 1121/2024/SS VII and took effect on 11 November 2024. Use the official KPSC entry to open the rank list and related notices, then check the live advice page for subsequent progress.

Open the correct KPSC rank list

Start at the official KPSC recruitment entry. Confirm that it names Assistant Professor (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), Technical Education Department (Engineering Colleges), Cat. No. 724/2021, and Ranked List No. 1121/2024/SS VII. The post is statewide; it is not a similarly named Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering post in another department.

  1. Open the official recruitment entry and select the ranked-list PDF linked there.
  2. In the PDF, confirm the list number and effective date before searching for your name or register number.
  3. Check the main list and the relevant supplementary list. The document arranges candidates found suitable by the Commission in merit order, and list placement matters when interpreting advice.
  4. Open the linked erratum as well as the original PDF, then consult KPSC’s post-specific advice status for later advice updates.

The PDF’s opening notification text contains one inconsistent line that refers to Cat. No. 724/2024. Its header, the KPSC recruitment entry, and the later erratum identify Cat. No. 724/2021; use 724/2021 to identify this recruitment.

What the rank list means

This is the final ranked list for the recruitment, not the May 2024 shortlist. That earlier shortlist provisionally identified candidates for interview, subject to original-document verification. The ranked list records candidates interviewed and found suitable by the Commission, ordered by merit, with a main list and supplementary lists.

A position on the list is not an appointment guarantee. KPSC advice depends on vacancies, reservation and rotation rules, and the candidate’s place in the applicable list section. A main-list rank and a supplementary-list position are not interchangeable.

Read the December 2024 correction with the original PDF

KPSC issued an erratum on 7 December 2024 modifying the ranked list to the extent stated in the notice. It awarded non-qualifying Ph.D. weightage to a candidate and corrected the total shown for that entry. Check the erratum linked from the official recruitment entry when reviewing the list; the original PDF alone does not show the subsequent modification.

Check advice progress by category

KPSC’s post-specific advice page reports 28 total advice and a last-advice date of 11 September 2026. Its advised-rank table displays these category positions:

Category Advised rank shown
OC 17
Ezhava 19
Muslim 25
OBC 39
EWS 44

These are category-wise positions as displayed by KPSC, not one overall cutoff or a promise that a candidate at that rank will be advised. The page also includes supplementary-list notations such as S/L-1 and S/L-2. Interpret the figure for the applicable category and list section, and check the live page because advice status can change.

Why advice can differ from the overall rank

KPSC advises candidates against reported vacancies according to reservation and rotation requirements. A dated appointment chart illustrates the process: on 13 April 2026, KPSC recorded an advice entry at rank 18 against a pending Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava turn, alongside a fresh anticipated vacancy and other pending turns. That chart is an example of how a turn can shape advice; the newer post-specific status page is the better place to check the latest overall status.

For comparisons with another KPSC result, first match the exact post and department, category number, geographic scope, list number and effective date. Then check main versus supplementary-list placement, any errata, and the latest category-specific advice position. Rank numbers from different recruitments cannot be compared as if they measured the same list.
