JazzCash won Silver in the Banking category at the inaugural 2025 Money Awards, held during Money20/20 USA in Las Vegas. The recognized entry was “Readycash: Shaping The Future Of Credit In Pakistan,” a submission about JazzCash’s digital lending feature, ReadyCash.
What award did JazzCash win?
Money20/20’s October 27, 2025 winners announcement lists JazzCash as a Silver winner in Banking for “Readycash: Shaping The Future Of Credit In Pakistan.” VEON, JazzCash’s parent company, announced the win on October 28. The award was presented at the inaugural Money Awards show during Money20/20 USA. Money20/20’s winners announcement and VEON’s announcement describe the result.
Money20/20 says hundreds of entries from around the world were considered, with the process culminating in live deliberations in Las Vegas by an independent jury of more than 40 fintech leaders. That is the organizer’s description of its judging process, not an independent evaluation of the judging.
What is JazzCash ReadyCash?
VEON describes ReadyCash as a digital lending feature offering credit to individuals and micro-entrepreneurs in Pakistan. Money20/20’s winner spotlight says the service uses mobile-network data and a fully digital experience. According to that spotlight, a credit-scoring engine draws on JazzCash GSM users and financial-services customers; loans are pre-approved and delivered to mobile wallets, with repayment reminders and embedded insurance. These details are the organizer’s account of the service, not a full statement of current product terms. Read Money20/20’s JazzCash winner spotlight.

The companies frame ReadyCash as a response to barriers such as limited credit histories and complex documentation. The intended users described include small-business owners, daily-wage earners, families with irregular incomes, women, artisans and micro-entrepreneurs. These are broad target groups, not a guarantee that an individual in any group will qualify.
How many loans does ReadyCash disburse each day?
The published figures differ, and the sources do not explain the gap or provide enough detail to treat them as a trend:
| Source | Published figure | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| VEON, October 28, 2025 | 140,000 digital loans daily, on average | Figure in VEON’s dated award announcement. |
| Money20/20 winner spotlight | 170,000–200,000+ loans disbursed daily | The page gives no publication date or explanation of its figure. |
The figures should not be combined into a claim that lending volume rose or changed: Money20/20 does not date the spotlight or state a measurement method, and the sources do not establish that the figures use comparable periods or definitions.
VEON also said JazzCash had 54 million financial-services customers in its October 2025 announcement. Money20/20’s spotlight refers to 75 million GSM users and 54 million financial-services customers as populations informing the described scoring engine; neither figure is a count of ReadyCash borrowers.

What the award does—and does not—show
The award recognizes JazzCash’s entry and its approach to digital lending. It is not, by itself, independent evidence of borrower outcomes, affordability, or the effect of ReadyCash on financial inclusion. VEON connected the award to Pakistan’s National Financial Inclusion Strategy, which it said targets 75% formal financial access by 2028. That is a government target as described by VEON, not an achieved result.
VEON quoted JazzCash CEO Murtaza Ali saying ReadyCash was designed for people excluded from formal credit, including small-business owners, daily-wage earners and families with irregular incomes. This describes the company’s intended audience and rationale; it does not establish eligibility, approval rates or impact for those groups.
What borrowers should verify
The award coverage and winner spotlight do not establish current individual eligibility or product terms such as rates, fees, loan limits and repayment periods. Anyone considering ReadyCash should check JazzCash’s current official terms and the offer shown in their own account before borrowing. An award or broad description of the product is not a substitute for those details.
