What customers alleged
On October 22, 2024, Fortune reported that customers, including YouTuber Rosanna Pansino, claimed to have found mold in cheese in Lunchly pizza kits. Dexerto also covered Pansino’s allegation.
The reports did not provide independent test results confirming contamination or resolving the condition of any particular package. The claims should therefore be understood as customer allegations, not as an independently verified finding.
How Lunchly responded
A spokesperson representing Lunchly, Logan Paul, and Prime told Fortune on October 22, 2024: “That process consists of multiple inspections and approvals, including that of the USDA, before any product can even leave the manufacturing facility.” The spokesperson described the process as a strict review. Dexerto separately reported Lunchly’s characterization that its products go through a stringent review process in compliance with USDA requirements.

These are statements from the company’s representatives. The reports do not independently verify the inspection claim or establish that USDA inspected every finished kit or approved the specific product involved in an allegation.
What the FDA complaint figure means
Inc. reported on October 25, 2024 that an FDA spokesperson said the agency was evaluating incoming complaints and adverse reports related to Lunchly. As of October 24, 2024, more than 10 complaints had been reported to the FDA, including one complaint citing an illness potentially linked to Lunchly products.

That is a dated count of complaints, not a determination that Lunchly caused an illness or that mold was confirmed. A complaint can prompt agency evaluation without establishing what happened to a specific product or consumer.

Dexerto reported on October 29, 2024 that Logan Paul denied rumors of a Lunchly recall. That denial does not by itself establish the product’s regulatory status. Nor does a search of one public recall list settle the full picture: the FDA explains that its recalls, market withdrawals, and safety alerts page covers certain posted notices, that not all recalls are posted, and that older records are archived.

The available reporting does not establish Lunchly’s current FDA status. A social-media rumor or the absence of a notice on a single public page should not be treated as proof either way.
