Watford’s FY2024–25 accounts state: “The sole shareholder and therefore the ultimate controlling party is Gino Pozzo.” The accounts name Diversify Sport Investment S.a.r.l. as the club’s ultimate parent and Hornets Investment Limited as its immediate parent. BBC Sport says Pozzo took ownership in 2012 and describes him as the club’s owner.

Watford’s Republic investment page describes Pozzo as the club’s majority owner and presents a fan-investment offer. That offer relates to an investment in the club, not to Pozzo’s personal finances.
What do Watford’s loans to its parent company mean?
At 30 June 2025, Watford’s accounts recorded £53.459 million in loans and £7.723 million in unpaid interest owed to immediate parent company Hornets Investment Limited. The prior-year figures, at 30 June 2024, were £51.670 million in loans and £5.648 million in unpaid interest.

These are liabilities recorded by the football club: money and interest Watford owed to its parent company at the relevant reporting dates. They are not estimates of Pozzo’s personal assets, and they cannot be added to or subtracted from a personal net-worth figure without information about the ownership structure, assets and liabilities involved.
Does the Pozzo family’s business history establish Gino’s personal wealth?
Al Jazeera reported in 2019 that the Pozzo family fortune originated in the Freud toolmaking business, which was sold to Bosch in 2008. That history provides family-business context, but it does not quantify current assets or distinguish Gino Pozzo’s individual wealth from the family’s wealth.

What can be concluded about his net worth?
The available sources establish Pozzo’s control of Watford and show that media outlets have published substantial wealth estimates. They do not establish a reliable current personal net-worth total.
