There is no verified public estimate of Gillingham FC owner Brad Galinson’s personal net worth. Companies House confirms his majority control of the club’s holding company, and reporting says he has lent the club almost £7 million interest-free. Neither figure establishes his personal fortune.
Who owns Gillingham FC?
Brad Galinson, recorded by Companies House as Bradley David Galinson, acquired a majority shareholding in GFC Holdings and Gillingham Football Club Ltd in December 2022. The club’s announcement said Paul Scally retained a minority shareholding. Gillingham’s 23 December 2022 announcement described the acquisition.
Companies House lists Galinson as a person with significant control of GFC Holdings, with more than 50% but less than 75% of its shares and voting rights, and the right to appoint or remove directors. Scally is listed with more than 25% and no more than 50%. These are control bands, not valuations of either person’s assets. The Companies House control record provides those ranges.
What do reports say about his financial support for the club?
The Guardian reported on 12 March 2026 that Galinson had provided an interest-free loan of almost £7 million toward Gillingham’s reported £13 million losses since he bought a majority stake in 2022. The figures describe club financing and the club’s reported losses, not Galinson’s personal balance sheet. The loan may be repayable; it should not be treated as a disclosed personal net-worth figure. The Guardian’s March 2026 report gives the context for both numbers.

Why his business description and the stadium do not reveal his net worth
BBC Sport described Galinson as a Florida-based property magnate in its December 2022 takeover report. That broad description indicates a business background; it does not provide a verified valuation of his property interests, other assets, debts or net worth. BBC Sport’s takeover report does not establish a personal fortune figure.
There was also a financing arrangement involving Priestfield Stadium: BBC Sport reported in November 2022 that the stadium’s freehold was used as security for investment, while clarifying that the freehold had not transferred to Galinson. Collateral for financing is not proof that the borrower or investor owns the secured property. BBC Sport’s report on the security arrangement makes that distinction.

What the available records can—and cannot—show
- Ownership and control: Companies House records Galinson’s majority-control band at GFC Holdings.
- Club support: The Guardian reports an almost £7 million interest-free loan to Gillingham.
- Personal net worth: The cited records and reporting do not establish a reliable figure for Galinson’s total personal assets minus liabilities.
Companies House lists Gillingham Football Club Ltd accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025 as filed on 8 January 2026. Those are club accounts, not a personal financial disclosure. The company’s filing history records the filing.
