There isn’t one SBA login for every small-business task. Start at the SBA account-login directory, choose the service you need, and follow that portal’s sign-in and recovery instructions. A loan account, certification account, contracting registration, and business profile may use different routes.
Which SBA portal do I use?
Choose by what you need to do, not simply by whether you own a small business. The SBA’s account directory links to separate services, and access to one does not automatically provide access to the others.

How do I log in to my SBA account?
- Identify the task. Decide whether you need a loan application or status, loan documents or payment, certification, federal contracting registration, a business profile, or an SBA Connect application.
- Open the SBA account directory. Select the link for that service rather than searching for a generic SBA sign-in page.
- Follow the selected portal’s sign-in instructions. Use the sign-in provider or account route shown there. For example, SBA Connect directs external users to Login.gov.
- Use that portal’s own help or recovery option if you cannot sign in. Don’t switch to a different SBA service just because its login works; it may not give you access to the application or records you need.
Routes can change. SBA Connect displays a notice that applications would begin moving to a new login platform on February 28, 2026. Because the notice concerns a platform migration, follow the current instructions shown for the specific application before entering credentials.
How do I check my SBA loan status?
The MySBA Loan Portal lets borrowers apply for disaster loans and check an application’s status. Existing borrowers can also use it to view documents and manage certain disaster-loan accounts, including COVID-19 EIDL and physical-loss loans. Open the Loan Portal from the SBA account directory and follow its current account or sign-in steps.

Creating a MySBA Loan Portal account
The SBA’s borrower guide, dated December 2023, describes the account-registration sequence and notes that some borrowers may need an additional SSN-association step before they can create an account. This can apply to nonprofit borrowers or loans that were not registered with an SSN. Consult the official borrower guide for that situation, then verify the current enrollment flow in the live portal. The guide recommends using a computer; its browser minimums are guide-era details, so check the portal for current compatibility.
Where do I make my SBA loan payment?
Payment access depends on the loan program and borrower category. SBA lists Loan Portal payment access for specified categories of PPP, 7(a), and 504 loans. For other SBA loans, online payments use Pay.gov. For disaster loans, including COVID-19 EIDL and physical-loss loans, eligible existing borrowers can use the Loan Portal. Check the SBA directory and your loan’s own instructions to confirm the correct route before making a payment.
Which certification login should I use?
Use MySBA Certifications for the certification programs routed there, including new 8(a) applicants. The SBA’s certify.SBA.gov page reserves that sign-in for Mentor-Protégé users and directs other certification users to MySBA Certifications. If you have the wrong page open, return to the SBA account directory and choose the route for your program.

A failed sign-in may mean you are on the wrong service, using a different sign-in provider than expected, or need that portal’s account-recovery process. SBA services have distinct routes; SBA Connect external-user access, for example, uses Login.gov and application access is role-based.

- Check the task and portal. Confirm that the link matches the loan, certification, contracting, or profile service you need.
- Use the correct sign-in route. Follow the instructions on the service page instead of assuming credentials for another SBA portal will work.
- Use the portal’s recovery or help link. The SBA Certify sign-in page warns that three failed attempts cause a 15-minute lockout.
- Check availability and eligibility. SBA Connect is unavailable outside the United States and its territories, and application access depends on role.
- Verify current directions. Platform changes may alter a route; follow the live application-specific instructions and do not keep trying a different portal.
