The latest reported competition figure is €3.8691 billion for the combined UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup category in 2024/25—not for the Champions League alone.
What UEFA sells
UEFA organizes the competition and centrally sells its media and commercial rights. Broadcasters pay for the right to show matches and related content; commercial partners pay for association with the competition and access to its branding and audience. UEFA’s business-model explanation describes this centralised approach.
Media rights
Media rights are the largest revenue stream in UEFA’s accounts, but UEFA-wide figures should not be mistaken for Champions League figures. In 2024/25, UEFA reported €4.065 billion in media-rights revenue, 81.1% of its €5.014 billion total revenue.
Commercial rights, licensing and merchandising
Commercial rights generated €787 million, or 15.7% of UEFA’s total revenue in 2024/25. The Champions League rights framework also includes licensing and merchandising. Under Article 67 of the 2026/27 Champions League regulations, gross revenue includes receipts from media and sponsorship contracts, including licensing and merchandising.

Ticketing and hospitality
UEFA’s relevant gross-revenue calculation includes ticket and hospitality receipts for the Champions League final, Europa League final, Conference League final and Super Cup. UEFA reported €100 million in tickets and hospitality revenue across the organisation in 2024/25. This does not mean UEFA counts every participating club’s ordinary home-match ticket sales as its own revenue.
What the reported revenue figures cover
UEFA’s 2024/25 accounts show €5.014 billion in total revenue. Its competition categories have different scopes, so the figures are not interchangeable.

Gross receipts are not the same as the amount available for club distributions. UEFA’s rules provide for competition organisational and administrative costs to be deducted before net revenue is allocated to clubs, solidarity mechanisms and other football purposes. The distribution framework also covers qualifying-round participants and clubs that do not reach the centralised phases.

UEFA’s published 2025/26 figures are projections, not realized 2025/26 accounts. They span the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, with the Champions League allocation grouped with the Super Cup.

| Women’s Champions League distribution scheme | €22m | Women’s Champions League |
| Youth League | €3m | Youth League |
UEFA’s men’s competitions distribution page sets out the 2025/26 projections and the 2024–27 distribution framework. UEFA has also described its 2025/26 men’s club competitions and Super Cup cycle as having projected gross revenue of €4.4 billion; that is a multi-competition projection, not Champions League-only realized revenue.
Why UEFA reinvests the proceeds
UEFA’s 2024/25 Annual Report says: “The growth was primarily driven by the successful introduction of a new format for our men’s club competitions, which boosted the reinvestment of our net income towards the long-term development of the game.” The statement reflects UEFA’s explanation of its own finances: proceeds support distributions to participating clubs as well as solidarity and other football purposes, rather than representing a single standalone Champions League profit figure.
