The quickest way to confirm a GameStop order is to find its confirmation email or look it up on GameStop’s Track Order page. You can check a guest order without an account using the order email, order number, and billing ZIP code. A pending card authorization by itself does not show that the order has shipped.
Check the confirmation email or look up the order
- Search your inbox and spam or junk folder. GameStop says it sends an order confirmation email shortly after checkout. The email provides the order number you will need to follow up. See GameStop’s ordering help.
- Use Track Order if you cannot find the email. On GameStop.com, open Track Order and enter the order email, order number, and billing ZIP code. GameStop says an account is not required, so this also works for guest checkout. Visit Track Order.
- Check the order and each item’s status. If the order includes multiple products, they may not all move through processing or shipping at the same time. Review item-level details when available.
What each GameStop order status means

Does a pending GameStop charge mean the order went through?
Not necessarily. GameStop says it places a temporary authorization when an order is placed and does not fully charge the payment method until the item ships. The authorization may later drop off. For confirmation that the order is recorded, rely on the confirmation email or a result in Track Order rather than the pending amount alone. See GameStop’s payment help.
If GameStop says payment was declined
When GameStop sends a payment-issue email, the order has not yet been cancelled, but its guidance says you must act within 24 hours to prevent automatic cancellation. Use the payment-update option through your account’s Your Orders page or the guest Track Order path, following the instructions in the email. After saving updated details, refresh the order to check its status. If you cannot complete the correction online, contact GameStop support. Details are in GameStop’s payment guidance and order help.

When to contact GameStop
Contact GameStop if you placed an order but no confirmation email arrived, if Track Order cannot find the order despite a charge, or if a completed charge appears but the order never shipped. Also get help if the online payment correction option does not work. GameStop specifically advises customers to contact support when an order was placed without a confirmation email; see its checkout guidance.
