HPCL’s 2025 Junior Executive application window is closed. The original March 26 announcement reported 63 vacancies and an April 30 deadline, but Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) updated its official notice on May 9, 2025: the notice then listed 103 vacancies and a May 21, 2025, closing deadline. That later deadline has also passed.
What changed in the HPCL Junior Executive 2025 notice?
The figures in the original headline reflect an earlier snapshot, not the final updated notice. Scroll.in reported 63 vacancies on March 26, 2025, when the closing date was April 30. HPCL’s official notice, updated May 9, raised the total to 103 and extended the deadline to May 21 at 23:59. Applications opened on March 26 at 09:00. The 2025 recruitment is historical, not an open application opportunity.

The original 63-vacancy figure comprised 11 Mechanical, 17 Electrical, 6 Instrumentation, 1 Chemical and 28 Fire & Safety posts. The updated official notice lists 41 Chemical vacancies instead of 1, bringing the total to 103; the other listed discipline counts remain the same.

HPCL mapped accepted diploma names to disciplines in the notice. For example, Chemical Technology was included under Chemical, while Instrumentation & Control and Instrumentation & Electronics were included under Instrumentation. Applicants needed to match their qualification to the notice’s discipline-specific wording rather than assume that a similar-sounding course qualified.
What was the selection process?
HPCL said the stages could vary with position requirements. Depending on the post, the process could include a computer-based test (CBT), group task or group discussion, skill test, personal interview, pre-employment medical examination and physical fitness efficiency test. The physical fitness efficiency test was qualifying in nature. HPCL said it would draw discipline- and category-wise merit lists from candidates who qualified in all applicable stages.

The CBT used objective questions in two parts:
- General aptitude: English, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and data interpretation.
- Technical or professional knowledge: Questions related to the candidate’s qualifying education.
The official notice does not establish that every listed selection stage applied to every discipline; it describes stages that may be used according to position requirements.
Where did HPCL direct candidates to apply?
HPCL’s official recruitment notice stated: “Candidates are requested to apply online only on www.hindustanpetroleum.com Careers → Current Openings, after reading detailed advertisement.” That instruction applied to the 2025 cycle, whose application window is now closed. HPCL’s current Job Openings page is the place to check for later recruitment notices; activity for a later cycle does not reopen the 2025 application.

What did the notice say about pay?
The official notice gave a pay scale of ₹30,000–₹1,20,000 and an approximate CTC of ₹10.58 lakh for metro postings. HPCL’s CTC calculation included performance-related pay at its maximum and depended on policy and other factors, so the approximate CTC should not be read as guaranteed take-home pay.
What were the reported application fees?
Scroll.in’s March 26, 2025 report described a non-refundable fee of ₹1,180 for UR, OBCNC and EWS applicants, with SC, ST and PwBD applicants exempt. This fee information is from the original report; consult the applicable official notice for its precise terms rather than treating the report as a substitute for that notice.

What should candidates do now?
The May 21, 2025 deadline has passed, so candidates cannot apply through this closed recruitment notice. Anyone looking for a current HPCL opportunity should check HPCL’s Job Openings page and read the detailed notice for that specific cycle. Do not assume that its vacancies, qualifications, dates, fees or selection stages match the 2025 Junior Executive recruitment.
