Published reports for Pakistan’s gold and silver prices on 1 February 2026 do not agree. Media Today listed 24-karat gold at Rs 525,600 per tola and silver at Rs 9,085 per tola; MM News reported Rs 511,862 for gold and Rs 9,006 for silver. These are historical reported rates, not a verified official Sunday fixing or a guaranteed jeweller’s quote.

TechJuice repeated Media Today’s table, rather than providing a separate rate series. Its matching figures therefore do not resolve the disagreement with MM News. TechJuice’s 1 February report.

Why the published figures differ

Media Today and MM News give different numbers for both metals per tola. Their reported gold values also differ per 10 grams. The evidence available does not establish which set represents an official APGJSA notice for 1 February.

MM News attributes its gold figures to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) and describes a decline from the previous reported rate. However, 1 February 2026 was a Sunday, and MM News says APGJSA releases rates Monday through Saturday, framing the figure around a Saturday market move. A page published on Sunday is not, by itself, proof that a new market rate was fixed that day. No original APGJSA bulletin for 1 February was identified in the available reports.

What the 2 February report adds

A 2 February report from Mettis Global attributed rates of Rs 490,362 per tola and Rs 420,406 per 10 grams to APGJSA for gold, and Rs 8,405 per tola for silver. It compared those figures with 31 January values of Rs 511,862 for gold and Rs 9,006 for silver per tola. How to interpret the units and prices

• Per tola: A local-market unit used in the reported rates. Compare per-tola figures with other per-tola figures, not directly with per-gram values.
• Per 10 grams and per gram: Media Today gives both conversions for gold and silver. MM News gives gold per 10 grams but does not state a per-gram figure in the reported details; it gives no silver rate per 10 grams or per gram there.
• International prices: Media Today also listed gold at $4,893.2 per ounce and silver at $85.34 per ounce. These are international USD-per-ounce figures, not Pakistan’s local PKR rates, and should not be mixed in a direct comparison.
• Retail purchase price: A published market rate is not a guaranteed final price from a jeweller or bullion seller. The cited reports do not establish city-by-city retail differences or a final transaction price.

Bottom line for this historical date

For 1 February 2026, Media Today reported 24K gold at Rs 525,600 per tola and 24K silver at Rs 9,085 per tola; MM News reported gold at Rs 511,862 and silver at Rs 9,006 per tola. Because the reports conflict and an original APGJSA bulletin for that Sunday was not established, cite the outlet and date whenever using either figure rather than presenting one as a confirmed official Sunday price.
