How to compare the quoted rates
Match the date, metal, purity and weight unit before comparing prices. A per-tola quote is not the same unit as a per-10-gram quote, and the global spot price per ounce is a separate market reference. Mettis Global reported global spot gold near $5,183 per ounce on March 12, 2026; it should not be read as a Pakistani retail rate.
Pakistan Revenue says local gold and silver rates are linked to international bullion prices and the interbank exchange rate. The reports do not establish jeweler premiums, making charges or actual transaction prices, so the listed rates alone do not tell you what a particular shop would charge or pay.

TechJuice’s report for March 12 lists 24-karat gold at Rs541,620 per tola and silver at Rs8,935.15 per tola, rather than the matching Mettis Global and Pakistan Revenue figures. The available reports do not explain the discrepancy. The table above uses the two reports that agree and does not combine their figures with TechJuice’s.
