Later reported gold and silver rates on March 19
Business Recorder and Mettis Global reported revised domestic rates attributed to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). The figures below are the later snapshot reported for March 19, rather than a guaranteed retail quote.

Mettis Global reported all five rates and daily changes; Business Recorder independently reported the later 24-karat gold and silver per-tola rates and gold price per 10 grams. Mettis Global’s March 19 report and Business Recorder’s March 19 report attribute the domestic rates to APGJSA.
Why reports for the same date show different prices
An earlier March 19 report from The Express Tribune listed gold at Rs523,762 per tola and silver at Rs8,494 per tola. It also gave gold at Rs449,041 per 10 grams and silver at Rs7,282 per 10 grams. Later reports described a substantial same-day decline and revised gold to Rs499,462 per tola. The two sets of numbers are different snapshots, not simultaneous quotes; they should not be averaged or treated as a contradiction in units. The Express Tribune’s March 19 report contains the earlier figures.

The reported previous-day baseline was Rs523,762 per tola for gold and Rs8,494 per tola for silver. Business Recorder also listed gold at Rs449,041 per 10 grams on March 18. The later March 19 changes are measured against that baseline. Business Recorder’s March 18 report records those earlier rates.

How to use these rates when comparing a quote
- Match the date and, where available, the reporting time. The earlier and later March 19 snapshots differ materially.
- Check the metal’s purity: the table separates 24-karat gold from 22-karat gold.
- Compare like units. A per-tola figure is not the same unit as a per-10-gram figure.
- Treat the reported association rate as a market reference, not a guaranteed shop price. The reports do not establish a seller’s premium, workmanship charge, or final retail quote.
