Gamefam announced a Creator Fund with a total pool of up to $5 million in 2024. Its public program page describes project funding from $1,000 to $100,000 or more, plus game and economy design guidance and live-operations support. Those are different figures: the $5 million is the announced overall pool, not the amount available to each creator. The sources do not establish how much funding remains or whether applications are open now.
What Gamefam’s Creator Fund offers
Gamefam says the fund supports developers building user-generated-content (UGC) games, focusing mainly on Roblox and Fortnite while allowing that games on other UGC platforms may be considered. Its program page describes both investment and practical development support, including advice on game and economy design and live operations. The public page gives a project funding range of $1,000 to $100,000 or more; it does not explain a standard award size or establish that every project receives funding at the top of that range. The announced total pool of up to $5 million was reported at launch in 2024 by GamesBeat and in Gamefam’s launch announcement. The total pool should not be confused with an individual project award.
Who can apply, and what projects fit?
Gamefam’s public FAQ says applicants may be from anywhere, must be at least 18, must not be full-time employees of a video game company, and must have a working prototype or previously launched games. The FAQ says projects can range from concepts to games already live on Roblox, Fortnite, or another UGC platform. Because the FAQ and the agreement use different employment and age language, applicants should check the current terms rather than rely on a single summary. Gamefam Creator Fund FAQ

Read the submission agreement before sending material
The agreement contains rights and eligibility terms with practical consequences for a creator. It is dated June 13, 2024, so review the version currently presented by Gamefam before applying. This summary is not legal advice. Read the agreement.
- Rights in the submission: You must own 100% of the rights to the submission. The agreement says you cannot apply alone with work co-created by others.
- License to Gamefam: You retain ownership as between you and Gamefam, but grant Gamefam an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, assignable, and sublicensable license to use, modify, display, or publicly perform the submission. The agreement also says Gamefam may use and disseminate it without compensation or further acknowledgment.
- Materials and subject matter: The agreement prohibits AI-generated writing or image materials in submissions. It also bars material that infringes third-party rights, conflicts with existing agreements, or is based on real people or incidents.
How this differs from Roblox creator programs
Roblox’s Creator Rewards are platform-specific earning mechanisms, not payments from Gamefam’s fund. Roblox says all creators began earning Daily Engagement Rewards on July 24, 2025, subject to the program rules. The rules and program details may change. Roblox Creator Rewards documentation

Roblox’s March 2026 announcement reported 144 million daily active users and described its Incubator and Jumpstart programs. That is a Roblox-reported platform figure, not a measure of Gamefam’s fund reach or results. The available information does not establish that Roblox’s programs are equivalent to a cash investment fund. Roblox’s March 2026 announcement

The launch announcement establishes an overall pool of up to $5 million, while Gamefam’s program page states a separate per-project funding range. The available sources do not establish how much of the pool remains, how many creators have received funding, how much has been deployed, or recipient success rates. Nor do they confirm that applications are open now. Treat those details as unverified unless Gamefam publishes an update.
