DAT said the deal would connect its DAT One load marketplace with Outgo’s carrier payment and factoring services. The companies did not disclose the transaction’s financial terms.
What DAT’s acquisition of Outgo includes
DAT described Outgo as a freight payment platform built to help carriers manage cash flow. Outgo offers freight factoring and payment services, alongside tools for submitting invoices, automating invoicing and pursuing collections. DAT’s current service page identifies owner-operators and fleets as potential customers.
In factoring, a carrier sells or assigns an invoice for an advance rather than waiting for a customer to pay it. The arrangement can speed access to cash, but carriers should review the fee, advance and funding terms, reserves, recourse obligations, and cancellation conditions before signing. DAT’s product information does not provide a complete comparison with competing factoring services.
How Outgo was to connect with DAT One
DAT said the acquisition would bring Outgo’s payment and factoring capabilities into DAT One, its freight marketplace. In the May 15 announcement, DAT said a designated symbol on eligible DAT One loads indicated that Outgo factoring was available. That signals a planned product connection; it does not mean every load or carrier is automatically eligible.

DAT also said, “Approved invoices are settled in under four hours.” This is DAT’s statement about its service, not an independently measured result or a guarantee that every invoice will qualify or be funded on that timeline. DAT’s announcement also stated: “Outgo Inc is a financial technology company, and is not a bank.”
What happens to Outgo’s team and product
Outgo said its staff would join DAT and continue working from the company’s Seattle office, while Outgo remained a distinct product within DAT. Co-founder and CEO Marcus Womack was expected to join DAT’s executive team. Womack said, “By joining DAT, we’re going to do more than bring faster payments and lower costs for carriers everywhere.” That describes the companies’ stated aim, not a verified outcome for carriers.

What is known about the deal’s terms
GeekWire reported on May 15, 2025, that the transaction terms were not disclosed. It also reported that Outgo had raised more than $19 million since launching in 2022. Attribute that funding total to GeekWire; the reviewed sources do not identify its original publisher.

- Whether the arrangement is recourse or non-recourse, and what that means if a customer does not pay.
- How well the service fits the carrier’s load booking, invoicing and collections workflow.
DAT’s current service page describes Outgo’s offering, but features and commercial terms may change. Treat any company-reported performance figures as claims about the service rather than evidence of acquisition results.
