Muhammad Ahsan Tahir’s story, as told by a 2025 TechTimes profile, follows a shift from technical work toward building businesses in creator marketing, media and finance. Walee presents itself as a group operating across those areas. The available evidence documents company initiatives and a dated regulatory listing, but does not establish that Tahir or Walee has rewired Pakistan’s economy: that phrase is an editorial frame, not a measured outcome.

One externally reported biographical detail is that NUST’s magazine identified Tahir as a SEECS ’14 alumnus. In 2021, the magazine reported that he raised USD 2.7 million in seed funding through Walee in partnership with Z2C Limited Communications. The figure should be understood as NUST’s published account, not as a funding announcement independently confirmed here. NUST
What does Walee do?
Walee describes its group as spanning media and finance, and its own site presents initiatives and awards alongside that positioning. Hakeem’s company page identifies Tahir as Walee’s Founder and Group CEO and describes Hakeem as a digital Islamic finance service. These pages explain how the businesses present themselves; they do not amount to independent audits of market standing, reach or customer outcomes. Walee · Hakeem

What evidence connects Walee to creator marketing?
In March 2022, Dawn reported that the Pakistan Advertisers Society and Walee signed an agreement to develop an Influencer Insights Report. The report quoted Tahir, then identified as Walee co-founder and CEO, saying: “Walee’s influencer insights contains multiple dimensions of an influencer’s performance unavailable elsewhere in a single report format,”. That is a company representative’s description of the product and its intended value. Dawn’s account establishes that the collaboration was announced; it does not establish that the report was later delivered or that its analytics were independently validated. What does the Hakeem listing establish?
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s digital lending app whitelist, updated November 15, 2024, lists “Walee Financial Services (Pvt) Limited” and the app “Hakeem.” This is dated evidence of inclusion on that regulator’s whitelist at the time of the update. It does not establish Hakeem’s current listing status, every license that may apply, or whether any particular financing offer is suitable for a borrower. SECP’s digital lending app whitelist
The SECP document also cautions users to understand loan terms and the risk of over-indebtedness. For a personal-finance decision, check the terms of the specific offer—including its total cost, repayment schedule, and consequences of missed payments—rather than treating an app’s presence on a dated whitelist as an endorsement of a particular loan.

“Rewire Pakistan’s digital economy” captures the ambition implied by TechTimes’ profile title, but the sources available here do not measure a national economic effect. They document a company’s stated scope, an announced industry collaboration, a dated app-whitelist entry and a funding figure reported by NUST in 2021. None alone demonstrates changes in employment, financial access, advertising outcomes or productivity at a national scale.

Rank #3
The fairest reading is narrower: Tahir and Walee are presented as building across creator marketing, media and finance, with some initiatives documented by external publications and a regulatory listing. Claims about leadership, trust, market leadership or broader economic impact should remain attributed to the profile or the companies unless supported by independent evidence.
