Aggregate urea offtake was 2,942 thousand tonnes, while total DAP sales were 653 thousand tonnes. Production and offtake are different measures: production is output, while offtake reflects product sold or supplied into the market. FFC annual-results reporting
Why the merger matters when comparing years
The Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench, sanctioned the scheme of arrangement merging FFBL into FFC, and the merger became effective July 1, 2024. As a result, the 2024 figures include a changed reporting scope during the year; combined urea production, for example, includes second-half Bin Qasim output. A 2024-versus-2023 comparison should therefore not be treated as simple like-for-like organic growth without adjusting for the merger’s effect. Mettis Global’s FY2024 results coverage

Company explanations for the higher merged-entity profit included the addition of FFBL’s second-half 2024 results, record investment income and dividends from strategic investments, and cost controls. FFC also attributed consolidated profitability to improved earnings from subsidiaries and associated companies. These are explanations reported from the company’s results announcement, not an independent assessment of each factor’s contribution. Mettis Global’s FY2024 results coverage
