In the 2025 ranking published by Lente Desportiva, Manchester United and Manchester City shared the top spot, with reported combined front-of-shirt and sleeve sponsor income of £80 million each. Ipswich was last at £5 million. These are the article’s reported annual estimates for the 2025–26 context—not verified, audited contract disclosures—and the sponsor roster has since changed.
How the 2025–26 ranking was calculated
The figures below reproduce Kris Isaksen’s Lente Desportiva ranking, published August 28, 2025. Each combined amount adds the reported front-of-shirt figure to the sleeve figure; all amounts are GBP millions per year as reported by that article. The source does not establish that the amounts are official contract disclosures or audited payments.
The original article labels Liverpool third, Tottenham fourth and Arsenal fifth, then marks Manchester United and Manchester City jointly as rank one. Those labels are preserved below rather than adjusted to create a continuous ranking.

What the totals do—and do not—tell you
Combined income can hide different deal structures
A shirt-front placement and a sleeve placement are separate sponsorship assets. The table’s total combines the two reported figures, so clubs with similar totals may have very different front-versus-sleeve splits. Chelsea, for example, is listed at £8 million entirely from its sleeve sponsor, with no front sponsor and £0 million reported for that position.
Income is not the same as fair-market value
The Sponsor defines fair-market value (FMV) as what a team or event could reasonably expect to earn for a sponsorship in an arm’s-length open-market transaction. That valuation is not necessarily the fee in an existing contract. In its June 2, 2026 analysis, The Sponsor put Tottenham’s front and sleeve FMV at £29.8 million and £7.2 million, respectively; Manchester United’s were £60 million and £16.7 million. Those figures are valuations, not substitutes for the 2025 article’s reported deal-income estimates. The Sponsor’s analysis also put Liverpool’s front-of-shirt FMV at £61 million.

Media exposure value is another measure
Blinkfire’s 2026 report assigned $251 million in social-media exposure value to Arsenal’s Emirates front-of-shirt exposure during the 2025–26 season, and $63.8 million to Manchester United’s DXC sleeve exposure. These are media valuation figures, not payments to clubs or GBP contract values. Blinkfire’s overview also reported that 11 clubs had betting companies on their chests in 2025–26; that is Blinkfire’s count, not an official league statistic.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the figures are not a current-season sponsor list
Sponsor partnerships change, so the 2025 ranking should be read as a dated snapshot rather than a current roster or current income table. Blinkfire’s September 15, 2026 overview lists different 2026–27 partners in several cases: Bournemouth had Vitality on the front and MrQ on the sleeve; Brentford, Indeed and Cazoo; and Arsenal, Emirates and Deel. It lists Tottenham with AIA and Kraken, Manchester City with Etihad Airways and OKX, and Liverpool with Standard Chartered and Expedia. The overview lists USDC as Chelsea’s front sponsor but no sleeve partner in that entry, and Snapdragon as Manchester United’s front sponsor but no sleeve partner. These roster details do not establish deal values.

Later reporting also shows why individual amounts can become dated: on September 9, 2026, Footy Headlines reported a Manchester United SumUp sleeve deal worth £22 million per season for 2026–27, ahead of Manchester City’s reported £20 million OKX sleeve deal. Those are reported figures, not official club disclosures. Footy Headlines’ report is distinct from the 2025 table’s DXC and OKX entries.

How to compare sponsorship figures responsibly
- Check the season and publication date: sponsorship rosters and contracts can change.
- Identify the asset: front-of-shirt, sleeve, or a combined total.
- Separate reported contract income from FMV and media exposure value.
- Check whether a number is an official disclosure or a media-reported estimate; the table above is the latter.
