Diddy Do It was a working title associated with a documentary project that Netflix reportedly acquired after a bidding war in May 2024. The released four-part series is called Sean Combs: The Reckoning, and Netflix says it is now streaming. The viral “Diddy Do It?” poster that circulated earlier that year was a parody—not the official title or announcement of the Netflix series.
Is Diddy Do It on Netflix?
Not under that title. Netflix identifies the released documentary as Sean Combs: The Reckoning. The platform describes it as a four-part series and says it is now streaming; availability can vary by location and date, so check Netflix in your region. Netflix’s series guide gives the current title, episode descriptions, and participant information.

How the “Diddy Do It” name became attached to the project
The March 2024 poster was a parody
A poster styled to look like a Netflix documentary and labeled “Diddy Do It?” spread online in March 2024. Its creator, graphic artist Kode Abdo, known as BossLogic, told Forbes it was made in jest. It was not an official Netflix release announcement. Forbes reported that 50 Cent reposted a modified version while promoting a separate documentary project. Forbes’ March 2024 account distinguishes the viral image from the separately reported project.
The bidding-war report came later
On May 22, 2024, Forbes reported that Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson said Netflix had won a bidding war for his docuseries project. The report said the project did not yet have an official title. Netflix’s later identification of the released series as Sean Combs: The Reckoning makes clear that Diddy Do It should be treated as an earlier, working-title-era label—not the released program’s name. What the four-part series covers
Netflix’s episode guide frames the series as a look at Sean Combs’ rise and music career, Bad Boy Entertainment and the era around it, allegations against him, and the federal case. Netflix describes the episodes as moving from Combs’ origins and early success to Bad Boy, his later career, accusers, the investigation, arrest, and trial. These are the platform’s summaries of the series; the documentary is not a substitute for a court’s findings.
Netflix lists interviewees that include Bad Boy co-founder Kirk Burrowes, former assistant Capricorn Clark, artists Aubrey O’Day, Kalenna Harper, and Mark Curry, as well as jurors and people who filed civil suits. Netflix says the filmmakers contacted Combs’ legal team multiple times to request an interview and comment but did not hear back. The fact that someone appears in the series does not itself establish that every account or allegation has been adjudicated.

The platform’s page also flags discussion of sexual violence, domestic abuse, and graphic violence. Viewers who prefer to know about sensitive material before watching can consult the content information on Netflix’s series page.
What Netflix says about the filmmakers and footage
Netflix identifies Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as an executive producer and Alexandria Stapleton as director. Its December 9, 2025 explainer says the series includes footage shot in the six days before Combs’ arrest and indictment. Netflix quotes Stapleton saying the material was obtained legally and that the filmmakers had the necessary rights; that is the director’s statement as published by the platform, not an independent audit of the footage’s provenance.

Stapleton described the project’s broader theme to Netflix this way: “Ultimately, this story is a mirror [reflecting us] as the public, and what we are saying when we put our celebrities on such a high pedestal.”
What to make of the 2024 headlines and numbers
The bidding-war headline reflects the May 2024 announcement, not a count of bidders or a disclosed deal value. The reviewed reporting does not establish the number of bidders, the project’s budget, or a verified donation total. Forbes also reported Jackson’s statement at the time that proceeds would go to victims of sexual assault and rape; that was his stated intention, not a verified accounting of money distributed.

Forbes reported that Google Trends showed relative increases during the March 2024 news moment of 1,550% for “Diddy Do It Netflix,” 1,450% for “Diddy Do It,” and 400% for “Netflix Diddy.” Those are changes in relative search interest reported for that period, not absolute search volumes, current demand, or viewing figures for the series.

Netflix identifies Mark Curry as an interviewee and names his memoir, Dancing with the Devil: How Puff Burned the Bad Boys of Hip Hop. Readers interested in Bad Boy Records may consider it as Curry’s perspective and memoir—not as an official companion to the series or independent proof of claims made in it.
