Where is Remitly moving its Seattle office?
Rainier Square is in downtown Seattle. Remitly told GeekWire on June 28, 2024, that it had secured space there and planned to relocate the following year from its existing office at 1111 Third Avenue. The company said the new space would be larger, but did not provide an area in that confirmation. GeekWire’s June 2024 report said the space was intended to support more meetings and collaboration, attributing that purpose to Remitly spokesperson Kendall Sadler.
How large is the Rainier Square office?
Cushman & Wakefield’s Q2 2024 Downtown Seattle MarketBeat lists Remitly’s Rainier Square transaction as an 86,519-square-foot sublease. That figure comes from the market report, not from Remitly’s June announcement.
Colliers’ Q2 2024 Seattle office report described the move as a 129% expansion, comparing the new space at more than 86,000 square feet with the former office at less than 38,000 square feet. Colliers also reported that, among Seattle office relocations larger than 10,000 square feet in its analysis, the average area change was +2%, or -21% when Remitly was excluded.

Did Remitly move into Rainier Square?
Yes. GeekWire reported on May 30, 2025, that Remitly had opened its headquarters at Rainier Square. At that time, the company occupied floors eight, nine and ten, and planned to take floor seven the following year. The additional floor was a reported plan in May 2025, not confirmation that it has since been occupied.

GeekWire’s May 2025 report described design elements inspired by regions where Remitly operates and said the company continued to use a hybrid work model. The reporting establishes those elements as part of the headquarters context; it does not quantify how many employees work there or how often they attend in person.
