Piglet’s Big Game is a 2003 PlayStation 2 game that drew renewed attention after eerie gameplay and soundtrack clips circulated online in November 2024. Some copies later sold for elevated amounts, but the available records do not establish a current typical price. To judge a listing, compare recent completed sales for the same region and condition—not just asking prices or sealed-copy records.

Why did the game’s price attract attention?
In November 2024, gameplay and music clips circulated online, highlighting the contrast between a familiar children’s character and shadowy environments with eerie music. Contemporary coverage linked the renewed interest to comparisons with horror games such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil. That is the reported context for the attention, not proof that one viral moment caused a specific price change.

UNILAD Tech reported listings around $64 and much higher asking prices, alongside a comparison that it described as a 1,566% increase. Those were dated 2024 reports of prices and listings, not a representative measure of completed sales or a current market value. An asking price shows what a seller hopes to receive; it does not show what a buyer paid.

What do recorded sales actually show?
PriceCharting separates condition categories and lists individual completed-sale records. Examples surfaced on its PS2 page include:
| Recorded sale | Condition and date | What it can tell you |
|---|---|---|
| $53.99 | PS2 copy with original case; December 20, 2024 | One recorded sale, not a typical price for every used copy. |
| $250.51 | Sealed PS2 copy; February 8, 2025 | An individual sealed-copy sale, not a useful direct comparison for a loose or ordinary used copy. |
| $300 | Sealed PS2 copy; December 20, 2024 | Another individual sealed-copy sale, not the ordinary market value. |
These transactions show that some copies reached elevated amounts, especially sealed ones. They do not establish a market-wide average, median, or October 2026 value. PriceCharting says its guide estimates use historic completed sales; estimates still depend on comparable condition and enough relevant transactions.

How to judge a listing before you buy or sell
- Match the regional edition. Check which regional release the listing describes; do not assume prices for different editions are interchangeable. GameFAQs provides regional PS2 release information.
- Match condition and completeness. A disc-only copy, a copy with its case, a complete copy with manual, and a sealed copy are different products. Compare like with like.
- Look for completed sales. Prefer several recent sold records over unsold listings. A seller’s asking price is not evidence of a completed transaction.
- Keep the date and marketplace attached to any price. The widely reported attention and price figures date to 2024, and sale records change over time. Do not treat them as current quotes.
PriceCharting’s condition categories and records can help with the comparison, while GameFAQs can help identify regional releases. Neither makes a single sale a dependable estimate for every copy.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is there a reliable current price?
The available evidence does not establish a reliable current median or typical October 2026 price, and it does not verify an active Amazon listing. A buyer or seller seeking a present-day estimate should check multiple recent completed sales for the same regional edition and comparable condition, noting the dates and marketplace. Without those comparable transactions, a precise current-dollar figure would imply more certainty than the records support.
