Which posts were included?
The notice was for open-market recruitment by Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Railways. It covered Junior Manager, Executive and MTS roles. Although the headline figure is 642 posts, the complete official post-wise vacancy table is not available in the material cited here, so a breakdown by post code cannot be confirmed from it.
A DFCCIL RTI response dated 12 June 2025 stated that the advertisement was issued for 464 MTS posts. That figure is for MTS, not the total number of vacancies across all post groups. See the DFCCIL RTI response.

Application fees and applying for multiple post codes
DFCCIL’s official FAQ lists non-refundable fees, plus applicable charges, of ₹1,000 for UR/OBC/EWS candidates applying for Manager or Executive posts and ₹500 for candidates in those categories applying for MTS posts. Check the full notification for any fee exemption or category-specific exception before relying on these amounts for an individual case. The fee information is in DFCCIL’s official FAQ.
Candidates seeking more than one post code had to submit a separate application and pay a separate fee for each. DFCCIL cautioned that candidates applied at their own risk because examination schedules could coincide. The application window has ended, so these instructions are relevant only to understanding the 2025 process, not to submitting a new application now.

Eligibility and selection: consult the relevant post code
Educational qualifications, age limits, medical standards, reservation rules and selection stages can differ by post. The official notification is the controlling source for those requirements; criteria for one role should not be assumed to apply to another. The available official FAQ excerpt does not establish a complete post-wise eligibility matrix, so it is not possible to confirm an individual candidate’s eligibility from these details alone.
The original notice described CBT stages and a PET in its schedule, but the dates it gave were tentative. For subsequent notices or outcomes, use DFCCIL’s official recruitment notices.
