When did Avnet appoint its new CFO?
Avnet’s board officially appointed Kenneth A. Jacobson chief financial officer effective September 6, 2022. He reports to CEO Phil Gallagher. The appointment release described him as the successor to Thomas Liguori.
The change was announced on July 11, 2022. Avnet said Liguori would transition from the company and remain available as a senior advisor through March 2023 to help with the handover. Jacobson’s appointment followed the company’s succession plan.
Who is Ken Jacobson?
Jacobson joined Avnet in 2013 as vice president and corporate controller. Before becoming CFO, he led finance organizations within Avnet’s business units and had management oversight of global supply-chain engagements, according to the company’s appointment announcement.

He had also served as Avnet’s interim CFO in 2017–2018. Avnet’s 2026 proxy statement says he was corporate controller from 2013 and principal accounting officer from 2018 before taking the CFO role.

No. The appointment took effect in 2022. Avnet’s 2026 proxy statement lists Kenneth A. Jacobson as senior vice president and CFO and states that he has held the CFO role since September 6, 2022. Its executive-officer roster is dated September 21, 2026.
CEO Phil Gallagher said at the time of the appointment, “Ken is the ideal person to lead Avnet’s finance team into our next century of doing business.”
